In a Democracy, the supreme power resides in the hands of the people either directly or through their elected representatives. The people’s will is expressed in our laws and the Constitution.
Actions by the Executive or Judicial Branches that are contrary to laws passed by Congress or to our Constitution are contrary to the will of the people and therefore attempts to overthrow our “Democracy*”.
Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s judicial decisions are among the most reversed of any Federal Justice. Her decisions show an inability to understand the intent of our laws and Constitution or a rejection of them. She replaces the will of the American people with her own views. Elevating a person with this record to the Supreme Court gives her power to overthrow the will of the American people, i.e., our “Democracy*.”
In her confirmation hearings Justice Jackson indicated deviousness, if not outright dishonesty. Despite having advocated Critical Race Theory in the past, she now says she doesn’t know about it. She claims the job of a Supreme Court Justice is to rule based on the original intent of our laws and Constitution, yet that is also the responsibility of every Federal Justice and something that she does not do.
During questioning Justice Jackson deviously said that the question of Americans’ Second Amendment Rights have been established by the Supreme Court. She didn’t affirm the critical point that our Second Amendment Rights are Constitutional Rights and irreversible; Supreme Court decisions can be changed. Thus we can expect that Justice Jackson will vote to strip the American people of their Second Amendment rights. This is a direct reversal of our rights guaranteed by our Constitution and thus an attack on our “Democracy*.”
Justice Jackson’s criminal sentences have been typically substantially lower than the national sentencing guidelines established by the people’s representatives and the even more lenient prosecutor requests. According to a study by Senator Cruz’s office, Justice Jackson gave criminals 57% shorter sentences for child pornography possession than the average, 47% shorter for distributing child pornography, and 34% shorter for all, including violent, crimes. In her sentences, she rejects the will of the people and thus the will of our “Democracy*.”
In questioning Justice Jackson answered that she could not define a woman. This suggests that her rulings will differ widely from biology and the overwhelming majority of Americans who know that a human born with 2 X chromosomes is a woman. Justice Jackson’s refusal to acknowledge biology suggests that she will likely refuse to bar biological males (people born with one X and one Y chromosome) from accessing women’s bathrooms, locker rooms, and competing in women’s sports…contrary to sanity and to the will of the American people and to our “Democracy*.”
In our “Democracy*” the people have assigned the responsibility to make laws to the Legislature; a Justice who makes law is disregarding the will of the people and our Constitution, i.e., overthrowing our “Democracy*”. In our “Democracy*” the people have reserved for themselves through their representatives in the States to change the meaning of the Constitution via the Amendment process; a Justice who changes the meaning of our Constitution is violating our Constitution, disregarding the will of the American people, and is thus overthrowing our “Democracy*.”
We should expect a Supreme Court Justice Jackson to show great leniency for criminals, to overrule the laws created by the people’s representatives, to overrule our immigration laws, to limit our First and Second Amendment Rights, to vote contrary to the views of the overwhelming majority of Americans, to overrule the original meaning of our Constitution established by the people, and to change our American society against its wishes. Justice Jackson will be a vote to overthrow the people’s will and our “Democracy*.”
Every Senator who votes to elevate Justice Jackson to the Supreme Court is voting for the undermining of our “Democracy*” and therefore, in my opinion, is committing treason.
Apparently GOP Senators Collins, Murkowski, and Romney will join all the Democrat Senators and vote to elevate Justice Jackson to the Supreme Court where she will do her best to overrule the will of the American people and thus overthrow our “Democracy*.” Every Senator who votes to elevate Justice Jackson to the Supreme Court must not only be defeated but ostracized from American society.
(* We are not a true Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic in which, like in a Democracy, the Supreme Power resides with the people.)
