Title IX was created so that “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.” The Bidenistas have other ideas.
WASHINGTON (LifeSiteNews) – The U.S. Department of Education (DOE) under President Joe Biden is expected to extend Title IX, the set of rules that prohibit discrimination in public education on the basis of sex, to include transgender students.
Sex would no longer be defined in the rulemaking as a physical characteristic. It would become an emotional state like feeling sad or happy.
Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said last June that Title IX “protected” trans students and that the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) would “fully enforce” this interpretation “in education programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance from the department.” Cardona announced the proposed regulations in July.
“Lia” Thomas is proof of why this is a bad idea, and not just for biological girls and women. If a B or C-team male athlete wants competition glory and all the fanfare the Left can heap upon them, all they need to do is say they are a girl. That’s it.
Thomas is sexually attracted to women by his own admission. He is still physically male. He shares a locker room with a number of physically fit biological women. It makes them uncomfortable, but they are not allowed to make a peep.
These rules would institutionalize this practice in every school in the country that receives federal money. One Hundred percent of all males would have unlimited access to females in locker rooms and bathrooms to pander to a fraction of one percent of those who actually suffer from gender dysphoria.
And these males are allowed to change their “gender” on the fly. Incidents of sexual creeping and assault will rise. Girls and women will be harmed, but not just in once-private spaces. Girls and Women’s sports will cease to be a path of accomplishment or careers for biological girls and women.
A small number of self-proclaimed “transwomen” of even limited ability can easily dominate any “girls” team until women’s basketball or soccer or pick a sport, is nothing but to steams of men pretending to be women.
And how does this help the Democrat party?
I don’t see how it does. As we encounter more instances of biological men dominant women’s sport, they will realize that the Democrat Party was never interested in them as anything but sex objects, which they have since tossed to the curb without cab fare.
Maybe if the Left hadn’t wrecked math all those years ago, someone in the Party would have the sense to realize that this is how you give an entire demographic to your political opponents.
Or are they convinced that their fear and cancel culture Stasi will keep the ladies quiet and in line?
