Looking more bug-eyed and sounding more crazed than ever, if that’s possible, soon-to-be departing Jen Psaki made the outlandish observation that the Russia-Ukraine conflict has highlighted the need for America to reduce its consumption of foreign oil.
As Will Smith famously once said, “Welcome to Earth.”
There simply aren’t enough words, which pains me as a writer to admit, that fully capture the magnitude of deceit, lying, and hubris (for knowing they can get away with the blatant deceit and lies) of all these corrupt Democrats, but Psaki especially.
The ease with which she pretends to be presenting novel and never-before-considered thoughts is bone-chilling. You have to wonder if she possesses a soul. She certainly doesn’t have a moral compass.
Take a listen as she spouts utter nonsense:

“What this actually justifies in President Biden’s view is the fact that we need to reduce our dependence on foreign, on oil in general, and we need to look at other ways of having energy in our country and others. One of the interesting things, George, we’ve seen over the last week or so is that a number of European countries are recognizing they need to reduce their own reliance on Russian oil.”
What a scumbag. Do you know who wanted cheap, domestic access to fossil fuels? Do you know who shut down access to that supply? There’s gaslighting, and then there’s whatever you call this. America had projects like the Keystone Pipeline get nixed by the Biden administration in his first day in office. Spare me the sudden concern.
There’s then the incredibly – either obtuse or malicious (or both) – statement that Europeans are reconsidering their reliance on Russian gas. You think?
We shared a great meme at The Blue State Conservative yesterday in a Memes of the Week post in relation to the Fukushima disaster and now Putin’s enormous leverage over countries like Germany. After the one-in-a-million reactor and containment failure in Japan, Germany’s Angela Merkel abandoned clean, reliable, and domestic nuclear power for dirtier, more expensive, and foreign natural gas and oil. Of course, she’s reconsidering now. Putin has her bent over backward.
I suppose if there’s room for a compliment, it’s that Psaki’s gaslighting is nonpareil. If I had to choose an equal, I’d say the closest thing to CNN’s resident misinformer Leanna Wen, about whom Dave Rubin assembled an impressive montage of her flipping her narrative without changing a single aspect of her delivery, but even then Psaki is in a league of her own. She talks fast, makes everything up, and never says a single thing of importance or value. And yet she comes across as credible to 80 million alleged voters.
Knowing that Democrats’ endgame has long been climate change, I think there’s a credible concern that whatever happens next in this conflict could be used to great effect. Although energy prices stateside have not crept up too much yet, reports out of outlets like Bloomberg were reporting over 50% increases for March alone in parts of Europe.
Depending on what happens in the next few days and weeks, a rise in gas and oil prices in America would conveniently reduce consumption and usher in renewed talks of green energy options. Higher gas makes expensive green alternatives look suddenly less daunting.
If Democrats get their wish list for climate change, it will make Covid look like child’s play.
