Are Your Kids Already Plugged Into the Matrix? Are You?

The metaverse. Give your life over to some virtual reality world and get lost in it. That’s the topic. Living online. Existing in the digital universe. A place where virtual reality can take whatever from you can conceive and make you that thing.

None of it is real, except in your head, in your online avatar, and for as long as anyone else in the digital world accepts that as legitimate.

It’s the Matrix. A fake digital reality so complete (at least in the user’s mind) that you can’t stand the idea of being unplugged. A state in which you can and are controlled by the masters of narrative. Managed by Big Tech Agents who police the metaverse to root out “infected thought” as if it were a virus.

It sounds crazy, but the foundation of that reality is only a click away. Something current and future generations may find themselves unable or unwilling to escape.

Ben Shapiro and Joe Rogan talk about the Metaverse and what technology is doing to us and our kids. It’s a reasonably short clip, just over 8 minutes, and worth your time and attention because, while they never call it The Matrix, they adroitly frame the problem and where we appear to be headed.
