I’m just surprised it took this long:
DURHAM, NH – After enjoying widespread popularity throughout much of his tenure as governor, only a slim majority currently approve of Governor Chris Sununu’s job performance. Much of this decline is due to a sizeable drop in support among Democrats. With Sununu having chosen not to run for the U.S. Senate in 2022, several individuals have been mentioned as candidates for the Republican nomination, but many are not well-known or well-liked in the state. A record low believe the state is headed in the right direction.
If Gov Baby Huey’s internal polling looks ANYTHING like this, it was a great decision to not blow 10s of millions of dollars for a US Senate race. Heck, if his numbers DO look like this, he may have quite the struggle just staying on as Governor, rather than being shoved back to Waterville Valley.

Another thing: you know, I don’t remember any time in the past in which Chris Sununu has appeared on so many national TV talk shows in such a short time span. Is this action a direct result of the above? He’s still +5 in the overall approval but that slope is horrendous. Wouldn’t take much time, if it keeps up, that his nose will be underwater.
And yes, I was a participant in this study and I take some pride in saying that I’m true Red with respect to this poll. Karen Testerman received 9.9% of the vote in the last Republican Governor Primary against Sununu. The question to ask is if other Conservatarians were to hold to such leanings as well, would the Primary percentage against him be well over the 9.9% mark if it was held today?
A given: most of the Sunday morning / news shows skew Left. Is he trying to send a message, on purpose or accidently, being to us that perhaps we don’t matter? After all, how many Conservatives watch these shows any more given that they are non-stop anti-Conservative (and that rhetoric is being jacked up weekly)? I have to admit, I hardly watch them much anymore as they’ve become very formulatic in presentation: you’re evil and we’re not. Thus, he’s certainly not reaching me well at all. You?
True, it is 10 months until November – an eternity in politics. Things can change and change quickly so the above could flip the other way by that time. However, if this continues on the same slope, perhaps he’s auditioning to be a commentator on those shows like dear old dad used to?
