New Hampshire’s capital will consider a city-wide indoor mask mandate at an upcoming meeting. Councilor Zandra Rice-Hawkins made the proposal because “It’s simple, effective, people have experience with it.”
And it gives the appearance that you are doing something.
“We know universal masking is a policy that works. It’s simple, effective, people have experience with it, it’s the same ordinance we’ve enacted in the past,” Rice Hawkins said. The council allowed the city’s previous mask ordinance to expire on June 1, after vaccines became widely available.
Vaccines did diddly as far as stated goals unless failure was always the only option, and this will lead to more of that. Masks are no different, but the elites have created a supersaturated solution of fear. As I reported here earlier this morning, between deliberate policy decisions and years of fearmongering, nothing you do will prevent the “hospitals from being overwhelmed.”
People have and will continue to be harmed, not because of COVID but due to COVID policy.
Every act, each political choice, has elevated the likelihood of complete and total failure of the stated goals (again, not necessarily the actual goals). You said we must flatten the curve and prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed – specifically ICUs.
You’ve failed at every opportunity. Re-masking your failure won’t change that or improve circumstances. Facts, however, might and actual science continue to suggest that masks make matters worse.
Plosive force generating events, such as coughs and sneezes, increase the pressure behind exhale emissions. Masks can exacerbate the spread of airborne pathogens due to focused plumes of fine particulates that increase the emission trajectory and aerosolization of droplets through a membrane. Aerosols have a trajectory of 18-20 feet, but pressure behind droplets through a membrane can take this larger matter that would have fallen in a predictable 6-ish foot arc and turn it into aerosols, as well as nebulize bound particulates on inhale.
Masks are not only ineffective at limiting pathogen plumes. They concentrate them.
If you follow the science, this creates more concentrated or denser clouds of pathogen that, when encountered by those truly at risk, thinking themselves safely masked indoors, significantly increase the likelihood of illness and not just of those around them.
Not only is there an accumulation of rejected respiratory emissions in mask dead space, but also biological amplification of rejected bodily waste picked up from inhaled airborne microbes, in addition to periodontal bacterial contributions, which thrive in low-oxygen, warm, moist areas.
Masks come with grave microbial inhalation issues (as many adults and children wear them in public restrooms [toilet plumes ], drop them, sneeze in them, run in them, and put them right back on their faces to breathe the accumulation of rejected matter for 8-12 hours per day).
Masking is unhealthy for anyone, a problem amplified by policies that require people to wear them for extended periods or, as in most local or municipal settings donning and removing the same mask repeatedly over hours or days.
Distancing does not help either, nor do face shields with or without masks.
The Progs in Concord aren’t interested in public health. They are interested in political policy theater because “It’s simple, effective, [and] people have experience with it.”
Simple better describes the understanding of the political science of COVID politics, which is how Progs like Rice-Hawkins want you.
Together they can happily mask the truth and proceed with an air of superior virtue.
As with most Democrat policies, the results will be the opposite of what they advertise and they will still claim victory, and maybe failure is the goal. It’s difficult to arrive at any other conlcusion.
