DGU – Defensive Gun Use. It’s a phrase that the Civilian Disarmament mob hates to hear. A lawful person with a gun stopping a bad guy harshes their Narrative.
But that’s why we carry them. To keep us, our loved ones, and friends safe when crazed criminals decide that what’s yours is really theirs (you know, like School Districts and your kids). Or that YOU exist for them to carry out those atavistic urges.
This must have given Katherine “I AM NH Gun Control” Rogers the Sads to hear (reformatted, emphasis mine):
Boy, 14, shoots would-be robber in face as culprit was strangling his mother in pizza shop where she works
The 14-year-old boy stepped in to rescue his mother as a would-be robber was strangling her in a Philadelphia pizza shop where she works — shooting the culprit in the face. The robbery suspect entered Bold Pizza on the 1500 block of Spring Garden Street around 9:47 p.m. Thursday and tried to reach over the counter and take money from the register, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. With that, a struggle ensued between the robbery suspect and an employee — the teen’s mother — and the robbery suspect “started to strangle” her, police told the paper.
The teen then grabbed a handgun from under a counter and shot the robbery suspect once in the face, police told the Inquirer.
Play stupid games, get stupid prizes. And a lot of reconstructive surgery in the near future.
“There was money on the floor, and there was also some broken glass inside the store, and there was also a large amount of blood,” Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small told WPVI-TV. Responding officers followed a trail of blood from the pizza shop toward a subway entrance where several passersby said a man was bleeding from the face, the paper said. Officers found the robbery suspect on the subway concourse and took him to a hospital where he was in critical condition, police added to the Inquirer.
The worst part of these kinds of actions is that folks like Rogers will try their hardest to make the CRIMINAL be the victim.
They’ll concentrate on the “power imbalance” between the criminal and the gun rather than between a big burly and stronger male and a far weaker female. This completely shows the idiocy of the SJW ideology that genders aren’t sex and sex doesn’t matter. There ARE differences between males and females.
Victims are simply a function of what the Leftist Narrative needs.
Ask yourself – what would have happened to Mom if her son hadn’t been there? And lacking a weapon, do you think a mid-teen (on average) can take on a man at the height of his strength (30-35 years old) in any confrontation?
The gun, that day, earned its title of “The Great Equalizer” as it takes that “power imbalance” right out of that equation between those of differing sizes and sexes/genders. Skill, then, become more paramount (even if the amount of skill is rather small in an emergency) in wielding such a weapon.
The Left concentrates on the gun ONLY when it fits their Narrative of a random act of crazed evil people shooting up the place. This DGU, however, will be swept under the rug by folks like Rogers and Bloomberg’s minions who wish that the Second Amendment never existed. In their eyes, only Government should have a monopoly on such force – we civilians should never be allowed to have such tools of self-defense.
If true, that Mom would be dead – and a teen also may have been either been killed or seriously injured as well.
Is that what NH State Rep Katherine Rogers wants with all of the gun control bills she keeps putting up? After all, her Party is the Defund the Police adherents – who will then defend the weak? HOW will they be able to defend themselves?
On that, they remain quiet.
