Alec Baldwin has killed more people with his “prop” gun than I have with any of my real firearms. Baldwin is also a rabid anti-gun douchebag. Sadly for his victim, karma landed on Baldwin in the worst way.
How will Baldwin pay, if at all?
I’d expect there will likely be some fiscal damages levied in a civil suit (I’d be surprised if we didn’t see one of those). But aside from that, will there be criminal charges?
He clearly knows nothing about gun safety, which applies to any gun and every gun, even prop guns.

And while whoever loaded a live round has a lot for which to answer, Baldwin pointed that gun at someone and pulled the trigger.
Not what anyone was expecting (we believe), but a life was still lost.
“We’re going to determine how those got there, why they were there, because they shouldn’t have been there,” he added.
He said police had recovered 600 pieces of evidence so far – including three firearms and 500 rounds of ammunition.
Sheriff Mendoza also said the projectile removed from Joel Souza’s shoulder had been handed over as evidence.
“I think the facts are clear – a weapon was handed to Mr Baldwin. The weapon [was] functional and fired a live round killing Ms Hutchins and injuring Mr Souza,” he said about the killing.
