The Most Important Takeaway From The California Recall

Steve has already posted about this:  Recall: Gavin Newsom is Still the Governor of California. I want to add some thoughts.

I agree with Steve that people will continue to leave California. What I want to add is that they will be replaced from among the millions of illegals crossing our Southern border in order to enter the Socialist States of America courtesy of Presidente Biden. Also, the Republicans leaving California will be … by and large … not conservative in the sense a conservative living in a solidly Red State would understand the term. In other words, California will retain its outsized electoral influence, while Red States will become a lighter shade of red.

But that is NOT the most important takeaway. Gavin Newson arguably has been the most tyrannical of the Governor-tyrants, yet he remands extraordinarily popular in California:

It appears the election really was a referendum on Newsom’s hypocritical COVID-19 policies. And those hypocritical policies won in a landslide.

This is simply a fact that pro-freedom Californians will need to reckon with: vaccine mandates and mask requirements are very popular in the Golden State. This month’s PPIC survey found 61 percent of Californians favor requiring proof of COVID vaccination for large outdoor gatherings or certain indoor spaces. The same PPIC poll a year ago found that 34 percent of respondents wanted more COVID restrictions, 26 percent wanted fewer, and 39 percent wanted “about the same.” Most Californians, in short, are happy to comply.

The most important takeaway is that there are two Americas: Pro-Freedom America and Pro-Police-State America and WE HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON, or at least not enough in common to have a functioning country. They don’t want to go back to normal … a Police-State is their idea of normal.

And it’s not going to end with COVID … that is, if COVID ever ends. Next, it will be a Climate-Crisis or an Equity-Crisis or a Gun-Violence-Crisis, etc. etc. etc.  Pro-Police-State Americans will not be satisfied until the State controls everything and everyone … until there is complete conformity.

We need to split into two countries. Pro-Freedom Americans need to migrate to Florida and Texas and adjoining States. Those States need to enact policies that generate emigration by Pro-Police-State Americans. And then Pro-Freedom America and Pro-Police State America can go and need to go our separate ways.
