I came across the words of writer philosopher Ayn Rand just recently that seem highly appropriate just now. She said (I paraphrase):
You can avoid reality, but can not avoid the consequences of avoiding reality.
I don’t know but I’d guess all those anti Trump voters who were living in the mainstream media’s false reality can now see just what Rand was talking about. But maybe not?
Slow Joe Biden, ever on the wrong side of good sense, promised to undo everything President Trump had done (regardless of who was hurt, damage done or anything else). So he did. I’m not detailing everything but just look at how prices of everything have gone up, workers refusing to go back to work, and cost of government skyrocketing.
I will note just two of the biggest complaints I have. One, the trillions assigned to so called an infrastructure bill. My foot, it is mostly pork payouts to every Democrat’s special interest dream agenda.
Second, Afghanistan, America’s Oh s**t, moment of clarity. I don’t need to say much about this, however I will share a few of liberal comedian Bill Maher’s thinking about it. Maher is one of the few real liberals’ left in America. He says most of you liberals have gone way way overboard but let his words educate you. Sentiments from immigrants to the Left:
- “All you do is b***h about and bad mouth about your own country, but if you knew about the country I came from (speaking for an immigrant), you’d stop sh***ing on your own”.
- “I’m sorry your professor said something you didn’t like. That won’t be a problem with the Taliban because you’re not allowed to go to school”.
- “In Saudi Arabia, grown women can be jailed for doing the kinds of things we take for routine without the permission of a male guardian.
- “China rounds you up if you practice the wrong religion and put you in a “reeducation camp”.
- “If you think America is irredeemable, turn on the news or get a passport and ticket on one of those sketchy airlines that puts its web address on the plane”.
- “There is a reason Afghan mothers are handing their babies to us”, Maher said. ( passing the most precious things in their lives across the fences trusting to American military)
Concluding his monologue, Maher said:
“Lessons of Afghanistan, is the real oppression, like that which exists in Afghanistan, doesn’t really exist in America“.
I will add only when you see desperate people hanging on the outside of an aircraft taking off then falling to their death, thousands thickly pressing against fences crying for rescue, mothers passing babies over to us, even those on the Left should be able to see what real oppression looks like.
Time to reset your judgements on reality, you on the left.
