Experts Want You to Call Breastfeeding Chestfeeding ‘cuz “Fathersmilk” or Something.

The #woke-a-saurus will come for it, whatever it is, and it has come for lactating moms. The Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine (ABM) has raised the white flag, declaring that it will henceforth (except in countries where that flag may not fly) stop calling it what it is.

The Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine has issued guidelines that suggest employing such terms as “chestfeeding,” “human milk feeding,” and “parent’s milk” to promote what it calls “gender-inclusive language.” …

ABM recognizes that not all people who give birth and lactate identify as female, and that some of these individuals identify as neither female nor male,” said the four-page document posted July 29.

Women lost their private spaces, sports, and now breastfeeding is just a thing mammals do regardless of sex or gender.

Suggested “gender-inclusive terms” for “breastfeeding” include “chestfeeding, lactating, expressing, pumping, human milk feeding.” Alternatives for “breast milk” include “milk, human milk, mother’s own milk, parent’s milk, father’s milk.”

Chestfeeding brings to mind horror film images which I suppose is appropriate given what this is doing to the culture.

This “biology doesn’t matter thing” is getting out of hand. A school in the UK, in the name of inclusivity, announced a uniform of sorts which was not well received about which I wrote,

The skirts were deemed inappropriate for transgender students. The solution was to make everyone…dress like a man? Yes. Trousers for all the peeps or no admittance to the school. The police were called. There were protests. …

Making girls wear pants is sexist. (I can recall when making them wear skits was sexist.)

The natural course of these complex issues will be to dress everyone the same. Mao suits. Available in gray. No exceptions.

There is, of course, no easy way for any “gender” to “chestfeed” an infant while wearing a Mao Suit, but that’s a problem for another day.
