Did Boston’s Black Democrat Mayor Just Say Vaccine Passports are Racist?

I think vaccine passports were concocted by a white guy. That makes them racist according to the new rules both by design and default (especially if they are on whiteish paper). But not all racism is equal, or should I say some racism is more racist than others. Just ask Boston Mayor Kim Janey.

She’s all in on getting people vaccinated and sports the face covering for the cameras, but when asked about New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s proposed passport mandate, she’s not all there.

“There’s a long history in this country of people needing to show their papers,” said Janey. “During slavery, post-slavery, as recent as you know what immigrant population has to go through here. We heard Trump with the birth certificate nonsense. Here we want to make sure that we are not doing anything that would further create a barrier for residents of Boston or disproportionally impact BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and people of color) communities.”

Did you get all of that?

Making people show papers is racist. It’s nonsense. It’s Trumpian. And we all know he’s a racist, so if President Trump were to come out and say, “we’re going to have big beautiful vaccine passports,” the Dems would dump them faster, Andrew Cuomo!

It’s probably not that easy. And Mayor Janey is fooling herself if she thinks her little “show” will shift the debate or the momentum from the left on this. Totalitarians are all about people showing their papers. You cant run a command and control economy without them.

You can’t get welfare or food stamps without a picture ID. You can’t even file for the extra unemployment handouts or rent relief (see universal basic income) without papers.

If you’ve never shown your ass to the IRS, they can’t give away other people’s money peddled as tax relief. Yes, Democrats are calling their latest bailout bundle (universal basic income training) tax relief.

Here, I’d like to give this back to you. That’s not mine. It is now; we’re calling tax relief. But I’ve never paid taxes. I’m sorry to hear that. It’s actually very patriotic – can I see some ID?

“When we are combating a deadly virus and vaccine hesitancy, this kind of rhetoric is dangerous,” City Councilor Andrea Campbell tweeted. “Showing proof of vaccination is not slavery or birtherism. We are too close to give ground to COVID. Science is science. It’s pretty simple — Vax up and mask up.”

If science is science, then what’s this mean. In Massachusetts, a positive case is anyone who has tested positive (including false positives), people with symptoms who were in contact with a positive tested person (even if it was a false positive), and people whose death certificate says they died for COVID.

Right out of the gate, some percentage of those never had COVID or any version of it, but even using these unscientific definitions, “catching” covid has a 98% survival rate in Massachusetts. And almost everyone under 70 has an even higher survival rate. This is not, Councilor Campbell, a deadly virus requiring vaccination or anything else. Certainly not a passport.

But if it represents even a fraction of the danger you suggest, do us all a favor and make a run for the border. HUndred of thousands of untested illegal entrants are swarming into America (and airlifted to places like Boston), having never been tested for COVID no any other actual threats to public health.

Walk the talk or take a walk, and take your vaccine passports with you.
