Biden State Department Bans Import of Russian Firearms and Ammunition

This story comes to us thanks to an email promotion for ammo. Bulk ammo dealers are a useful resource, and not just for ammunition. Thanks to the email, I know that Whoever is Running the Biden Administration wants to restrict 2A rights by making ammo even more expensive.

According to Ammoland,

The ban is listed as a sanction pursuant to the Chemical and Biological Weapons (CBW) Control and Warfare Elimination Act of 1991, over the supposed Russian use of the “Novichok” chemical agent to poison Aleksey Navainy.

The ammunition supply chain has been stressed for a while with increased demand and higher prices. One of the few sources providing some price-pressure relief has been foreign, Russian in particular. And maybe not in the traditional sense. While a lot of it is made with a steel case/cartridge that many shooters won’t touch, many do, and that outlet, the availability, has kept the demand and costs for brass from getting even more out of hand.

That’s changing as of September 7, when the ban goes into effect.

In other words, a few Marxists in Russia have been benefiting from western capitalism, while the Marxists here see this (IMO) as a way to constrict the exercise of the second amendment.

By stopping the overflow from Russia, the cost of brass rounds will probably get a lot worse. High prices always act like a tax, especially on low and middle-income buyers. Many will find themselves spending less time at the range if they go at all.

And no, I don’t think they see this as a poke in the eye for Russia. These are American Democrats. They love Russia, and nothing they do will convince me otherwise unless this is as a favor to China, whom they (at present) seem to like more.
