Is It Time for Cameras in the Classrooms of Our Government Schools?

Body cam

This writer has previously opined on the critical need for actions in addition to the formal banning of the teaching of so-called “critical race theory” in our government (i.e., public) schools.

Even with a formal banning from the curriculum, our children are still being taught for the most part by so-called educators who come from the “education establishment” that has been brainwashed by the left. They are, for the most part, our true Manchurian Candidates.

So, how to deal with the inherent problem of having our children in our government schools brainwashed by teachers who are themselves brainwashed?

Although our country is not anything (yet) like England with closed-circuit TV cameras everywhere, we have installed cameras in many places to ameliorate and call out potential bad behavior. Thus, we now have body cameras worn by many in law enforcement, and we even have cameras on some school buses in our state.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have cameras in the classrooms of our government schools, with access to audio and video feeds available to parents of children in the classes who are verified and registered for access? This would allow parents to log on to see what is being fed to their children. To organize and rise up if they are being brainwashed with the garbage from the left.

And if they are, like many working parents, the feeds could be recorded and accessed later when the parents are home from work.
If this sounds like a reasonable proposal, you can bet where the opposition will come from the teachers’ unions. They do not want parents to see and learn what their children are being spoon-fed.

How to do this?

Get a majority on your school board to adopt a camera in the classrooms policy.

Pass a petition warrant article in your next school election requiring cameras in the classroom.

And if a teacher does not want to have their taxpayer-funded “teachings” videoed, they can find another occupation. After all, it’s a free country, isn’t it?
