CRT – How Will You Know If Critical Race Theory Is Taught in Your Child’s School? – Stack of Stuff Part 16

Is-CRT-racist-replace-white-with-black top half

So, do you REALLY think that your School Board, the Superintendent, or the teachers are ALL going to be truthful if you simply ask “Are you teaching CRT?”

Reformatted, emphasis mine.

The definition of critical race theory is a mystery, according to many educators—but they sure know what isn’t critical race theory: whatever they’re teaching. “School boards, superintendents, even principals and teachers are already facing questions about critical race theory, and there are significant disagreements even among experts about its precise definition as well as how its tenets should inform K-12 policy and practice,” reports Education Week…Here’s how the head of public education in Washington state deflects the question and intentionally misleads: “We talk about the Civil Rights Movement. We talk about the causes of the Civil War, we talk about the experiences of Black Americans, of white Americans. It’s comprehensive history, but it’s not critical race theory.”

The question, of course, isn’t what topics are discussed (every history curriculum covers the Civil Rights Movement and the Civil War). No, it’s how those things are being taught. That’s what’s important—especially to parents. “Everything that makes up American Society is racist,” according to critical race theorists, the CRA guide explains. “This includes Christianity, free markets, traditional marriage, rule of law, traditional family structures, and a representative form of government.”

…LISTEN for critical race theory buzzwords: Equity, Implicit/unconscious/internalized bias, Social Justice/Restorative Justice, Systemic racism, Microaggressions, Antiracism, White privilege/fragility, Colonialism, Identity, Ally/Allyship, and Social construct.

Go to the link – SEE how the above buzzwords are defined. And they won’t tell you because they HATE you for the color of your skin:

The faculty of a Washington Heights high school is rebelling against their principal, charging in a vote of no-confidence that she has “flagrantly but unsuccessfully attempted to divide our school by race.” Paula Lev, principal of the High School for Law and Public Service, is now under investigation by the city Department of Education for allegedly telling a faculty member she “was going to get rid of all these white teachers that aren’t doing anything for the kids of our community,” a complaint states.

Lev, a Dominican, also asked the faculty member to “conspire with her” to try to oust a white colleague, according to the complaint filed last week with the DOE’s Office of Equal Opportunity.

But we can’t call a Black Principal RACIST because only White people, according to the first tenet of Critical Race Theory, can be the Oppressors and therefore, the only RACISTS. Yeah, this has all the academic rigor of my 5-year-old Grandson….and the Left has made it clear it is a hill to die on:

What we are witnessing in real time is the wholesale turning of society against itself. The implementation of Critical Race Theory in various forms is a part of it, turning society against itself through manufactured racial conflict. This racial self-flaggelation is epitomized by Ibram X. Kendi’s misleadingly titled “antiracism” formula, in which the world is divided into “antiracists” (engaged in a never-ending struggle to unravel ‘systemic’ racism by destroying norms) and “racists” (everyone else who does not agree with them or just wants to be left alone or advocates treating people without regard to skin color). CRT and its offshoots are societal dead ends of perpetual conflict and repression.

People get it that CRT or whatever you want to call it in the nom ju jour (“antiracism” “equity” “culturally sensitive learing” blah, blah, blah) is destructive, not educational. That the two largest teachers unions in the nation have come out for and vow to fight with all their resources to advance CRT to children, even if against the wishes of local parents and state government, reflects that the money and power in society are behind this national death march.

And the quiet part gets said out loud. Go take a look at the tweets that a Seth Abramson puts out where he admits that CRT is Marxist in origin – and gets a tail whack

American parents owe many thanks to Abramson for the admission that Marxism is being openly taught in American schools — he stresses GRADUATE schools and ACADEMIC THEORY, but where does he think teachers emerge from? Now that the NEA has pulled the covers back, we know that CRT is, indeed, being thrown at young American schoolchildren; not as theory, but as an instructional method for examining the world. A communist lens through which to view — well, everything. Admitting the problem is the first step to addressing it.

And this CRT crapola is making my two STEM degrees from Boston University more and more worthless (between Zinn, AOC, and Kendi). At least the “One Armed Bandit” Silber (head honcho when I was there) was working HARD to raise .  Now BU has decided to really make a mockery of itself:

…Then there’s the part of the iceberg that’s not easily visible to people if they’re not looking. This includes a range of subtle but insidious attitudes, behaviors and policies. Among these are microaggressions. They are brief and commonplace verbal, behavioral or environmental indignities, [psychologist Beverly Tatum] said. Examples:

  • “Don’t blame me. I never owned slaves.”
  • “All lives matter.”
  • “I don’t care if you’re white, black, yellow, green or purple.”

Ayup – this is me to a “T”. And I really don’t give a dang – I’ll micro-aggress all day long because “micro-aggressions” are all about changing norms and brainwashing. I don’t care if I upset people as people want to put these obligations upon me THAT DON’T EXIST. Go pound sand…

Back to Boston U, per the official launch page, the three weeks of learning and unlearning are intended to “better prepare members of our community for a more diverse, equitable academic environment.”  Call it a career move — it’s sponsored by the department of Professional Development & Postdoctoral Affairs (PDPA). The initiative provides “an opportunity to engage directly in antiracist texts and multimedia each day for 21 days.” Furthermore, there’s been a curriculum upgrade — the department will now school students on racism against more nonwhite groups…

Great.  This is just the last part of the Democrat/SJW/Race-baiters/Socialists to let White people where they actually stand on the Democrat Identity Politics Group Totem Pole – thousands of yards away from all of their Protected Classes. These nitwits aren’t willing to see that by discriminating against Whites, Whites WILL start thinking of themselves as an Identity Group all on its own and THEN start acting like the other and actual Totem Pole groups – won’t that be “interesting”?

A mother revealed that she was allegedly instructed to treat kids differently in a Slinger, Wisconsin, classroom based on the color of their skin during a Slinger School District Board meeting in June. “I was one of those parents that did sign up to help in the classroom, and I was shocked,” Robin H. told the board. She explained that the agency Slinger uses to staff substitute teachers requires those teachers to take and pass a series of online courses. “It seems very harmless, only about an hour or less long. But you have to go through, and you are taught to treat individuals differently in the classroom by the color of their skin,” Robin said. “You are taught, and told, that if you go into the classroom that you are applying to go into, that if you go into it colorblind, quote-unquote colorblind, that you are racist.”

She added that she has screenshots and information to back up her claims…“You are told and taught that if you have any kind of views that are colorblind, that is racist, and if you treat children the same, that you are racist and that you are not treating them well and that they should have different consequences for the same action based on the color of their skin.”

But this next part shows the even worse part – that School Boards, who are supposed to be in charge of their Districts, haven’t a clue. They “trust the Professionals” too much:

“It’s not something we are promoting, and I can guarantee that the school board that I work for and the community I work for, that if this was something that we were moving towards, this would be publicized and we would seek community input,” Curler said.

Yeah, like parents aren’t starting to figure out that SB members are “captured” and truly are clueless? Especially when math is subject to interpretation. Sorry, math is math and injecting ideology into it is going to endanger us all: 2+2 = 5

  • Introductory high school math curriculum: ‘Mathematics can be subjective

The inanity of the progressive predilection for injecting identity politics into every academic subject sticks out most when it comes to mathematics. For example, showing your work in California public school math classes is an example of “white supremacy culture.” In Oregon, one demonstrates “toxic white supremacy culture” by trying to get the correct answer…Public school ninth graders in Ontario, Canada are treated to math courses which “recogniz[e] their identities, lived experiences, and communities” in which their teachers “build on […] lived experiences” in order to “honour diverse mathematical ideas and thoughts, and incorporate multiple ways of knowing and doing.”

Goals of Ontario’s math curriculum include “appreciat[ing] multiple mathematical perspectives” and using math to “promote actions [which] address social and environmental issues such as inequity and discrimination.”

The curriculum’s principles note that teaching math is “most effective” when it “values diversity” and “recognizes that [it] can be subjective” (emphasis added)

And yes, CRT is being taught in schools and not the “law and graduate level” classroom:

Celeste Fiehler says her daughter was bullied, called racial slurs, and beaten in middle school, and her children are now “ashamed that we’re white” due to “indoctrination” in the California school system. Fiehler, 40, is married with four children in the public school system and one in college. She is one of several local parents in La Quinta, California, who have spoken out against critical race theory (CRT) being taught in California schools. The local Desert Sands Unified School District (DSUSD) will offer a new ethnic studies course in the fall, and Fiehler is worried it will include CRT and racial ideas pushed by the California Teachers Association that promote concepts like “divorcing the default of whiteness,” which she sees as racism towards white people.

“It’s disgusting. It’s full-on racist. It’s so sad,” Fiehler told The Epoch Times. The theory has gained support among many left-wing activist groups, academia, and government in recent years. But over the past few months, parents have increasingly spoken out against CRT teachings they claim are hidden under the guise of “ethnic studies” and other euphemisms. Several states have banned CRT in public schools and other government institutions.

In response, the largest teachers union in the U.S., the National Educators Association (NEA), recently approved a resolution stating that CRT is “reasonable and appropriate” to teach to K-12 students. The group plans to “publicize” CRT and has dedicated staff to “fight back against anti-CRT rhetoric.”

A few years ago, Fiehler says her then 12-year-old daughter was bullied at school in the Desert Sands Unified School District (DSUSD). Fiehler says she was beaten at least six times.

The bullies also allegedly followed her home from school every day for a year and hurled racial slurs at her, sometimes in Spanish, such as “stupid white girl,” “white Dora” (since she had bangs like the television character Dora the Explorer), and “rat.”

Fiehler wondered if her daughter was targeted for the color of her skin when she heard the bullies’ verbal attacks. She said district officials assured her the bullying began as a squabble over “boys.” But then it escalated into name-calling, racial slurs, mean-spirited texts, social media attacks, and physical violence, she said.

And when the bullies found out her stepfather worked in law enforcement, they harassed her about that, too.

“They constantly texted her to kill herself,” Fiehler said. “My daughter tried to hang herself.”
