Twitter Face Palm – Announces That Twitter Access is a Human Right…

Did you hear the one about Twitter? They took down a tweet by the President of Nigeria. He got pissed and locked Twitter out of the country. That’s a problem for Nigerians, and now for Twitter.

The situation stemmed from an ongoing dispute between Twitter and the Nigerian government. Twitter deleted a stern and threatening tweet posted by Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, which condemned attacks on public infrastructure in the country’s southeast region, including arson attacks on government offices and police stations.

Twitter appears to be a critical means of interaction and communication across the nation. Without getting into the finer points of a political situation with which I am unfamiliar, as a rule – shutting it down is advantageous to those who rule. That’s always true even here in the US, where Twitter shuts people down and deletes their accounts on a whim.

Because they feel like it, they then announce that some behavior violated some standard that only applies to people who happen to disagree with Twitter and the ruling class politically.

That’s a fun fact, but Twitter is so caught up in its own naval gazing it went one better (or worse).

“We are deeply concerned by the blocking of Twitter in Nigeria. Access to the free and #OpenInternet is an essential human right in modern society. We will work to restore access for all those in Nigeria who rely on Twitter to communicate and connect with the world. #KeepitOn.”

You can take this so many different ways.

First, the obvious double standard of rights. Access to their communications platform is a right, but it’s not a human right, or Twitter would not be banning people like, oh, I don’t know, the 45th President of the United States or anyone who ever agreed with him.

The second, and this may be more relevant to the end game. The people being blacklisted by Twitter are not human.

The Left dehumanizes to justify its violence. Unborn babies are not human, so it’s okay to kill them. Trump supporters are not human, so it’s okay to deny them human rights and, if you know even a little about Marxism, kill them.

Twitter’s leadership through its bi-polar community standards is just being its Marxist self. Pulling back the curtain to expose the truth.

The question I have is this. Do they even realize that if the people they pander to get the power, they will no longer be useful? They will be locked out just like the people of Nigeria and then locked up.

There can be no open communication platforms like Facebook or Twitter in an America to which the Democrat Left aspires.

The final form of Twitter would be no Twitter or, best case, a zero-tolerance platform completely controlled by the government for propaganda purposes. Much like what we have now but picture a public utility.

Jack and the boys and girls and boy-girls and girl-boys at Twitter would be milked for their resources and usefulness then discarded.

Dorsey’s best case is to have not lived long enough to see this happen or to grab as much wealth as he could carry and flee the country.

That’s how it looked in Venezuela when they turned that corner.

Human rights, indeed.
