CRT – Their Goal Is Indoctrinating Students in Far-Left Causes: Stack of Stuff Part 8

White Fragility on little kids

These keep pouring in.  Examples that show Critical Race Theory not just as Racist but the push back from those that see the racisim scam.  That CRT deliberately divides us along the very racial lines that the Civil Rights movement sought to eliminate.

For instance, both Whites and Blacks fought against housing segregation but that segregation is no longer the problem it is a Virtue as colleges seek to provide segregated housing delineated by race.

So, here a few more (most reformatted and emphasis mine), and THIS time, click through the first one; teachers have dropped their masks.

From Betsy McCaughey, a ‘Grok friend (and former NY Lieutenant Governor):

It’s hard to know what’s worse — brainwashing kids or lying about it. Parents worried their kids are being indoctrinated with critical race theory can’t get straight answers. Local school boards and principals lie to them, claiming children are merely being taught to be “critical thinkers.” On Saturday, the truth came out. Teachers unions and activists held rallies in 22 cities to support critical race theory. What they said was eye-popping. They unabashedly declared that their goal is indoctrinating students in far-left causes.

Sidenote: three of those cities were here in NH!

The Zinn Education Project, which organized Saturday’s events, produces race-centric material for junior high and high schools across the country. Lesson plans are offered free for teachers to download. Parents wondering where the critical race theory their children are getting comes from can go to the website. They’ll be shocked.

Zinn was founded by the late Howard Zinn, a Marxist historian who said that teaching social studies wasn’t about dates and events. It was to make students want to change the world, overthrowing the status quo. A Zinn lesson called “Students Design a Reparations Bill” explains that students will be asked to improve on the “flimsy” reparations bills currently in Congress. Critical thinking isn’t encouraged. This isn’t a debate about whether there should be reparations. This is one-sided indoctrination. “As racial justice activists, student are all on the ‘same side,’ in this role play,” says the Zinn website.

Other extreme left groups supplying social studies materials for schools include the Southern Poverty Law Center and Black Lives Matter at School. SPLC tells educators to stand their ground against parents “and vigorously resist efforts to maintain the status quo.” No wonder parents are getting the run around.

Diverse groups of outraged parents, students, educators, and other concerned citizens are rising up across the country in opposition to the teaching of Critical Race Theory in public school classrooms.

Why is this, NH Governor Chris Sununu? Why aren’t you against this Marxism being taught in our schools?

They’ve been successful in their efforts to a certain extent at the local level, enough that now the mainstream media has all but literally declared war on opponents of CRT, as we’ve previously reported. The videos of people speaking out against CRT never get old, and the next clip is no exception. It shows Ty Smith, a father of two in Illinois, absolutely go off on the concept of CRT during a contentious school board meeting. In particular, he strenuously objected to the victimhood aspect of CRT, pointing out that he grew up in poverty and still went on to make something of himself with the help of white and black people alike.

“How do I have two medical degrees if I’m sitting here oppressed?”

As the origins of our current moral panic about “white supremacy” become more widely debated, we have an obvious problem: how to define the term “Critical Race Theory.” This was never going to be easy, since so much of the academic discourse behind the term is deliberately impenetrable, as it tries to disrupt and dismantle the Western concept of discourse itself. The sheer volume of jargon words, and their mutual relationships, along with the usual internal bitter controversies, all serve to sow confusion. . . .

Like I keep saying: MAKE THEM define their terms and DO NOT allow them to use any of their “other” words in doing the defining. Just plain English.

In his forthcoming book, “The Constitution of Knowledge,” Jonathan Rauch lays out some core principles that liberal societies rely upon. These are not optional if liberal society is to survive. And they are not easy, which is why we have created many institutions and practices to keep them alive. Rauch lists some of them: fallibilism, the belief that anyone, especially you, can always be wrong; objectivity, a rejection of any theory that cannot be proven or disproven by reality; accountability, the openness to conceding and correcting error; and pluralism, the maintenance of intellectual diversity so we maximize our chances of finding the truth.

The only human civilization that has ever depended on these principles is the modern West since the Enlightenment. That’s a few hundred years as opposed to 200,000 or so of Homo sapiens’ history, when tribalism, creedalism, warfare, theocracy or totalitarianism reigned. . . .

My central problem with critical theory is that it takes precise aim at these very core principles and rejects them. By rejecting them, in the otherwise noble cause of helping the marginalized, it is a very seductive and potent threat to liberal civilization.

It’s not in a noble cause. It just pretends to be. It is in fact about gaining and retaining power through the deliberate employment of bigotry.

And yes, this is also a battle of Faith:

And for those who have missed it or need a reminder:

CRT is a method used to examine society and culture through a lens solely based on race and power and its assumptions are treated as absolutes – not as theories, as the name implies. CRT “theories” are taught as universal facts about individuals – that are forced on employees and students.

At its core, CRT maintains that:

  • if you are white, you are inherently, unavoidably, and systemically racist.
  • if you are white and you don’t believe you are racist, it is only because you are subconsciously racist and don’t know it.
  • if you are white, you are an oppressor, which means you are a white supremacist.
  • If you are white, you can and should be discriminated against, to further “equity.” This is not considered racism. Rather, it is called “anti-racism.”

The teachers aren’t out to help your kids – the teacher unions are making sure they are getting indoctrinated:

California teacher Brenda Lebsack says she began seeing “red flags” in her school district when she decided to become more involved with her union, the California Teachers Association.  After she began attending the union’s conferences in 2015, Lebsack says, she was alarmed to see that many of the topics weren’t academic but instead focused on social justice, human rights, and LGBTQ issues.   “I thought, wow, my union does not seem to care that much about academics as much as they do the political side of things,” Lebsack told The Daily Signal in a phone interview.

…In an effort to educate parents on what is happening in schools across America, Lebsack founded the website Brenda4Kids, which offers videos, articles, and other resources designed to “pull back the curtain on what’s really going on in public education.”  Lebsack encourages parents to get involved and find out what is happening in their children’s school district.

In states such as California, unions and lawmakers are “removing more and more local control,” she says. “And they are removing parent rights.

And yes, this next snippet is long but I ask that you at least glance at what organizations that the NEA is aligned with. Are these the people you want teaching your kids? After all, you know who a person / teacher / group is by the “friends” they keep.

The National Education Association needs to be dismantled and repurposed from top to bottom. It has been totally taken over by cultural Marxists and social justice warriors. Is that over the top?  NEA from Influence Watch (emphasis added):

The National Education Association (NEA) is America’s largest labor union … with affiliates in every state across 14,000 communities, NEA represents teachers, education support professionals, retired teachers, education faculty and staff, substitute teachers, and administrators.

The NEA is a major political player, with its associated political action committees contributing nearly $143.5 million to federal candidates and committees—97% of which supported Democrats and liberals—from 1990 through February 2019. The NEA is also deeply entangled in state and local politics and is a major contributor to left-of-center nonprofit organizations.

…What’s the difference between the NEA’s cultural and political activism and BLM’s objectives or the planks in the Democrat Party (or the US Communist Party, for that matter)? None a dime’s worth of difference.

Do you think the NEA is benign? Are you aware of their outreach campaign and blatant political activism? Do you ever wonder who is pushing Marxist history textbooks in US public school systems? Do you ever wonder who is behind the LBGTQ+ cultural onslaught that now begins in kindergarten classes? Look no further than the NEA (although there are leftwing billionaires and nonprofit foundations who are underwriting the whole process).

A friend forwarded me an email last week sent by the NEA’s “EdJustice Team.” “Educational justice,” of course, is just the latest variation on the Marxist theme of “social justice,” joining the likes of racial justice, environmental justice, economic justice, etc., all of which are derivatives of conflict theory that pits social groups against each other in order to achieve “equity” of outcomes for all. Equity is the new Marxist panacea – their utopia guaranteed through government action (with the rights of dissenting individuals like me being damned in the process). The NEA’s EdJustice Team are foot-soldiers in the Left’s march to that future Marxist paradise.

…Garza, Cullors, and Tometi [Founders of BLM  -Skip] all work for front groups of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization, one of the four largest radical Left organizations in the country. The others are the Communist Party USA, Democratic Socialists of America, and the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism. Stamp’s ACORN—now rebranded under a variety of different names after its official 2010 bankruptcy—works with all four organizations, and Dream Defenders is backed by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), ACLU, and Southern Poverty Law Center, among others.

The Freedom Road Socialist Organization is a hereditary descendant of the New Communist Movement inspired by Chinese dictator Mao Zedong and the many communist revolutions occurring throughout the world in the 1960s and ’70s. Freedom Road split into two separate groups in 1999, FRSO/Fight Back and FRSO/OSCL (Freedom Road Socialist Organization/Organización Socialista del Camino Para la Libertad). Black Lives Matter and its founders are allied with the latter. (Future references to “Freedom Road” in this article refer to FRSO/OSCL.)

This is whom the NEA makes common cause with these days.

So what can you / should you be doing?????

All of this is happening right under your nose unless you are directly involved with your local school boards and monitoring EVERYTHING being taught to your kids! Fortunately, at least some parents are fighting back. But when will people start targeting teachers’ unions like the NEA for their Marxist activism and direct involvement? If you want to do something concrete, then get involved with US Parents Involved in Education (USPIE) and start your own chapter!

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), notorious for branding mainstream conservative and Christian nonprofits “hate groups” and including them on a list with the Ku Klux Klan while ignoring the destructive and deadly antifa riots, has adopted Marxist critical race theory and has asked the government to push this noxious agenda in public schools. This week, the SPLC urged President Joe Biden to direct taxpayer funds to develop a “curriculum on structural racism” in the Department of Education. The smear group also revamped its Teaching Tolerance program, which pushes its leftist agenda in schools.

In the SPLC’s annual “Year in Hate” report released on Monday, the organization called on the federal government to “address far-right and racist narratives” by providing “funding for the Department of Education to develop a curriculum on structural racism and funding for states to implement their own related initiatives.”

“Americans can only dismantle white supremacy if they understand how racism shaped (and continues to shape) housing, education, policing, health care and other policies and practices that affect our everyday lives,” the SPLC report claimed.

On Tuesday, the SPLC announced it would revamp its “Teaching Tolerance” program — which spreads its far-left agenda in schools — renaming the program “Learning for Justice.”

“We are called as educators, justice advocates, caregivers and students to reimagine and reclaim our education system so that it is inclusive and just,” Jalaya Liles Dunn, the new Learning for Justice director, argued (emphasis added). “In shifting from Teaching Tolerance to Learning for Justice, we’re offering an urgent call to action: We must learn, grow and wield power together” (bold emphasis added, italics original).

The SPLC wants schools to turn children into leftist activists, training them to deconstruct American society to find hidden racism everywhere, and encouraging them to “wield power” by eradicating it.

Any time you see the word “reimagine” ANYTHING – RUN AWAY but then return with pitchfork, tar, and porcupine quills. Ask yourself – when the Left wants to change something, do they ever include YOU in those changes? Will they “tolerate” and be “inclusive” of those of us that are White, Christian, Conservative, Constitutionalists?  First two tries don’t count.
