Breaking News: NH House Passes State Budget Trailer Bill – HB2

I won’t rehash the journey, you can find our coverage from both sides of this Budget Debate here, but the budget has been passed by the legisalture.

By a vote of 198 to 191, the Republican majority House has advanced a contentious budget trailer bill.

This will move to the governor’s desk, where he is expected to sign it.

This bill includes provisions that would ban abortion after 24-weeks except when the mother’s life is at risk.

It also cuts taxes adds school choice and language to help weed systemic racist indoctrination from our schools.

I know, I wasn’t going to rehash.

The deal maker was a last-minute agreement to take a serious look at Emergency powers limitations in the fall when the Legislature is back in session.

Whether that comes to pass remains an unknown but goodwill and a promise to addresses it prevented this budget from failing.

More than a few folks will be unhappy about that, we can include some reservations among our authors as well, but you can find and read what they had to say here as well.
