California Gov. Nuisance Ordered to Pay Church 1.35 Million in Legal Fees After Losing Shutdown Lawsuit

The Left Coast’s poster-child for failed state politics in California. Governor Nuisance (Newsom), the Bolshevik band-leader, can be relied upon to do the wrong thing almost every time. With enthusiasm. Like shutting down churches and belittling the religious community.

Faith is a vehicle to be hijacked for Marixm until it can be denuded. Shorn of all meaning but what the state wants it to mean. All other forms are a tick on the collective ass of government, sipping away at its claim to absolute authority.

Gov. Nuisance, a good and proper comrade in the Democrat army, saw the pandemic as an opportunity to undermine the foundations of faith. He locked down churches declaring your constitutionally protected right to conscience and religious liberty non-essential.

He was not alone, but not everyone sued their governor and won.

This week, a California District Court approved the settlement of Harvest Rock Church and Harvest International Ministry’s lawsuit against Gov. Gavin Newsom, establishing the first state-wide permanent injunction in the country against COVID restrictions on churches and places of worship.

Gov. Nuisance was also ordered to “pay Liberty Counsel $1,350,000 to reimburse attorney’s fees and costs. Newsom is the first governor in the U.S. to be reprimanded so severely on this issue, being ordered to obey a permanent injunction on behalf of houses of worship.”

Did you get that? Gavin is prohibited from ever issuing orders that close churches, at least for now. Another judge could come along and decide the constitution doesn’t matter.  We have that sort here in New Hampshire.

Wouldn’t it be great if we had a Republican majority legislature that could vacate that position and remove the dangerous Judgeform the court? Wait, we do. But instead of that, another Republican Majority – the Executive Council – took the nominated lawyer who argued for the unconstitutional ruling and made him a judge.

It’s not often you’ll see California setting an example we should have set.

Live something or die ( or something).
