During an interview aired on Thursday’s “MSNBC Live,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki reacted to concerns that corporations will raise prices if taxes on corporations are increased by stating that President Joe Biden believes people “know that corporations do not need to raise the cost of goods in order to pay more taxes and pay more of their fair share.”
Host Hallie Jackson asked, “Of course, he could only do so much if corporations end up raising prices on things if they end up having a tax hike as well, right?”
Psaki responded, “He also believes that the American people are smart. They’re invested in this. They’re going to pay attention and that they know that corporations do not need to raise the cost of goods in order to pay more taxes and pay more of their fair share.”
Yeah, just wait. The American people (t some companies) will learn how smart they weren’t when voting President Asterisk into office when their companies either pare back or shut down because the tax amount is too much where they work,
Yeah, these are the fools at the top of our Political Food Chain with the Chief NitWit who lived his whole adult life by getting a check from the Government and never really running ANYTHING in the Private Sector.
Psaki and Jackson just showed, bigly, how badly they paid attention in MicroEconomics 101.
Set up in the Public Sector, it’s clear that they believe that all they have to do is wave their hands and “it shall be done” – and never having to worry how to make all of the financial dots link together like biz owners and managers have to do. What is of VITAL importance is just a “meh” to these folks.
Just WAIT for when Biden’s $3Trillion tax plan comes off the taxiway and gets positioned for takeoff permission.
The “stimulus” you all just got (ahem, I’m still waiting…) is about to get snatched away.
