Who has done more for literacy and tolerance than Dr. Seuss?

Dr. Seuss’s book, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, was recently withdrawn from further publication because, in the book, an Asian person is portrayed wearing a conical hat, holding chopsticks, and eating from a bowl.

I’m sure once the Internet establishes the identity of the woman in the photo, she will receive an appropriate amount of scorn for ‘portraying people in ways that are hurtful and wrong.’
