You live in a city with an anti-gun mayor. In the heat of the summer, after locking down your life, he accepts rioters (who did not honor lockdowns and destroyed your job or business) demands to defund the police. In response to skyrocketing crime, the mayor’s wife announces, that’s your job.

And she’s not going to arm you with anything but some bad advice.
Mayor Bill Deblasio “shifted’ a billion dollars out of the NYPD’s 6 billion dollar operating budget off the table. Unsurprisingly, it didn’t work out very well. The city had 462 homicides, which was their highest number in a decade and the number of shootings doubled from the previous year to 1500.
This year crime is still completely out of control in the Big Apple. Shootings are still high, burglaries have increased and violent crimes targeting Asians have become a big problem.
However, Mayor Bill de Blasio’s wife, Chirlane McCray has a solution to one of those crises, and it doesn’t include the police. She wants bystanders to intervene in violent crimes against Asians.
Bill and Chirlane are every the adults in every corporate commercial on television. Mixed race couple, cute multi-racial kids, and yes – I suspect their children are smarter.
Last summer, crime hit a 24-year high in New York City. Democrats were issuing travel advisories. And like most leftish-ideological ghettoes, criminals are more likely to be armed than law-abiding citizens. The place was a mess and still is as businesses close up for good, and people migrate away to work remotely in more peaceful places.
Corporate office space is getting cheaper as the corporations whose commercials have the mixed-race couple, and the smart, cute kids get smart and learn to live with a more remote workforce.
In that same #woke-city that never sleeps, lead by that same #woke-couple, there has been an exponential increase in race-based hate crimes?
Against Asians. Because of the Wuhan Flu? The China virus? The Rona, why else? It’s full of Democrats and they love China but not so much outside the polished halls and White Towers – no they don’t like them in the white towers either.
So, after years basting in New York’s #woke school curriculums #woke universities #woke media and #woke culture, the Elites have failed to prevent these sorts of criminal tribal abuses.
What’s Chirlane’ss advice?
Fear is a normal feeling when stepping into a confrontation, but being prepared can help. I’ll share @iHollaback‘s 5 D’s, which are easy to remember tactics that we can all use to de-escalate a situation. D is for Distract, Delegate, Document, Delay, and Direct
A culture that supports armed law-abiding citizens works even better, especially when your hubby cut the police budget by one billion dollars to appease his Marxist-motivated criminal constituents.
You don’t need guns ‘cuz police; you don’t need police ‘cuz they are racists. Freelance racists immediately begin committing hate crimes at an alarming rate against disarmed citizens.
Democrats destroy everything they touch.
And I don’t think Chirlane is expecting more than the satisfaction of knowing that she tried to help because that’s what is important.
If she’s getting a good night’s sleep while her Hubby Nero fiddles, that’s all that matters. At least until the first lawsuit against McCray for inciting violence resulting in dismemberment or death.
