YouTube is Censoring Senate Committee Testimony It Does Not Like

by

YouTube took down “two videos of doctors testifying under oath.” The doctors appeared before a December 8 Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing. Sen. Ron Johnson sent a tweet on January 27. He was protesting.

These deletions include videos of an opening statement by the president of the Frontline COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance, Dr. Pierre Kory. He presented evidence from a study about using Ivermectin as a successful treatment for COVID-19.

Ivermectin is “a cheap and widely available drug that treats tropical diseases caused by parasites,” according to The Wall Street Journal and it could be an effective treatment for COVID-19 as well.

Dr. Kory said in his statement, “In the last 3-4 months, emerging publications provide conclusive data on the profound efficacy of the anti-parasite, antiviral drug, anti-inflammatory agent called ivermectin in all stages of the disease…”

YouTube removed the videos because they are not on its approved list and considered misinformation.

The company said in a statement to the managers of Sen. Johnson’s YouTube channel, “YouTube doesn’t allow claims that contradict local health authorities medical information about COVID-19, to include guidance on treatment, prevention or transmission guidance…”

Senator Johnson tweets after receiving notification the videos removal: “The censors at @YouTube have decided that the American public shouldn’t be able to hear what senators heard…” “Apparently, Google knows more about practicing medicine than doctors who … actually treat COVID patients and save lives…”

Given YouTube’s protections under section 230, why are they blocking access to the information? Dr. Kory’s statement had more than 8 million views (on multiple channels) before its removal.

This shows an alignment of the Left with Big Tech Corporate interests but isn’t government control of private business fascism? Isn’t this our government in a “public-private” partnership?

This is a scary development. Is it okay for Big Tech to Align with the government to suppress information, censor speech, and skirt the constitution? When freedom of speech is gone so too is freedom of thought.

We are in a tyrannical state. We are facing rule by executive order not rule of law.
