Dem NH Rep. Received Money From Relative Being Investigated For Federal Grant Fraud

by Steve MacDonald

A Concord School has surrendered its charter after an independent audit and investigation revealed nearly 154,000.00 dollars in “excess/unsupported grant reimbursements.” One of the “recipients” uncovered in the questionable disbursements is Democrat NH House, Rep. Caroletta Alicea.

The auditors also found a series of what appear to be payments to family members — including Caroletta Alicea, the founder’s mother and vice board of trustee, who is also a state representative from Boscawen and active capital region Democrat. The payments, $14,550, were marked as repayments of loans from officers without explanation or documentation of what the funds were initially used for, the report stated. Another family member received a $7,000 payment with no explanation, the report said.

The New Hampshire Republican Party had some thoughts to share about that curious coincidence.

“What did Rep. Alicea know, and when did she know it?” he asked. “How much did Rep. Alicea and her family personally benefit from this theft? The voters of Boscawen deserve better representation in the New Hampshire Legislature, and Rep. Alicea must answer these questions while submitting her letter of resignation to the House clerk immediately.”

I wouldn’t hold my breath, but the longer this drags on, the more we get to talk about it.  Such as, to what purpose did her daughter Stephanie Alicea allegedly misappropriate taxpayer dollars.

The audit accused Stephanie Alicea, the school’s founder, of spending thousands of dollars of the grant money on personal expenses — plane tickets, Uber rides, food, and other charges against the school’s accounts, and never reimbursing the expenses.

She was a school as a laundromat. Federal taxpayer dollars in, whatever she wanted, out. For the record, that describes nearly every public school in the nation. Money in, Democrat donations, union power, and more than a few indoctrinated kids out.

Given the current debate over education and how it is funded (plenty about that here), this seems timely. A Charter School misappropriating funds, but with a twist. It resides in the Democrat dominated state capitol and can be connected to a sitting member of the NH House of Representatives.

But don’t worry. As long as there was no phone call from Donald Trump asking about the investigation, there’s nothing to see here.
