Remember when we had twelve years left? That was AOC who, after a bit of ribbing, claimed it was more like a joke. Climate Czar John Kerry, no less of a Marxist a**hole himself, has just announced we have nine years. He’s not joking. “[W]e have nine years left” to “avert the worst consequences” of the climate crisis.”
I remember when we only had until the turn of the century, then every few years after that, then again, and again, until today.
Their settled science is anything but.
For the first few decades of the unassailable hypothesis, the settled science was that CO2 would cook us in the juices of our own modernity. Cheap energy and easy living were sins against the Earth Mother. She was punishing us.
Anyone who dared question the dogma was smeared, denounced, excommunicated, fired, delisted, unpublished, harangued.
CO2 was going to boil the seas and bake the lands. Melting glaciers would inundate coastal regions with seawater, and snow would be something you saw in pictures from days gone past.
But the climate changed in the wrong direction, which is to say it didn’t change even when they changed the name.
Twenty years of predictions came and went. They were not even close.
Settled science had a problem, so they changed it, and that is the issue.
Kerry told CBS “This Morning” reporter Ben Tracy in an interview which aired Friday, that the winter weather seen across the country could be the “new normal” and needs to be prevented by cutting global carbon emissions.
“It is directly related to the warming, even though your instinct is to say, wait a minute, this is the new ice age, but it’s not,” Kerry asserted. “It is coming from global warming, and it threatens all the normal weather patterns.”
He added, “Even if we did everything that we said we were going to do when we signed up in Paris, we would see a rise in the Earth’s temperature to somewhere around 3.7 degrees or more, which is catastrophic.”
The rising temperatures will result in colder weather. The cooler weather is a result of a warmer earth.
Their settled science is never settled, but then it is because when a**holes like John Kerry say the science is settled they are not talking about the weather.
It has nothing to do with climate, meteorology, no earth science of any sort. They are talking about political science.
What is settled is that Climate Marxists can unsettle whatever they damn well please at any point in time to achieve their goal. A complete economic realignment away from free-market capitalism.
John Kerry insists that “There’s no room for B.S. anymore,” Kerry told Tracy. “There’s no faking it on this one.”
This is the real lie, at least until we need to unsettle that to craft a new one.
