Democratic lawmaker Steve Cohen of Tennessee is suggesting every Guardsman who cast a vote for President Trump should be a “suspect.” That’s right our representatives think the very people who defend us and them are our enemies.
Does that make sense to you? Don’t believe this? If you felt that way would you bring the National Guard to D.C.?
This is another of Pelosi’s wrap up smears
Democratic Rep. Steve Cohen of Tennessee is the chair of the House Judiciary’s Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. He is making the public suggestion in a CNN interview with Jim Sciutto. Cohen spoke of political leaders assassinated by those tasked with protecting them:
“This morning I was reading about this on my Twitter account I guess, and people were reminding people of Anwar Sadat and Indira Gandhi who were killed by their own people… “
“You know, I was thinking, the [National] Guard is 90 some odd percent I believe male, only about 20% of white males voted for Biden…” Can you say sexist?
“You got to figure that in the Guard which is predominately more conservative — and I see that on my social media and we know it — there’s probably not more than 25% of the people that are there protecting us who voted for [President-elect Joe Biden]…” This is clearly inference, supposition and slander without factual basis.
“The other 75% are in the class that would be the large class of folks who might want to do something… And there were military people and police who took oaths to defend the Constitution and to protect and defend who didn’t do it, who were in the insurrection. So, it does concern me …” None of these assertions are anything but supposition. There is no basis for them. None…
America is founded in liberty. It is the home of the brave. Don’t slander our defenders.
Irrational fear is a crappy basis for decision making
Sciutto made the attempt to push back at Cohen’s suggestion. The Rep. was saying simply having voted for President Trump should make someone a suspect of being threat to assassinate the President of the United States. Here’s how Rep. Steve Cohen dug his heels in:
“You draw circles of people, and in the first circle is people who were for Trump and not for Biden as far as people who would be within the zone of folks who you would be suspect of, and the suspect group is large…”
So here’s the question. If the National Guard as an immediate physical threat to the President of the United States: Why does it make sense to bring them into D.C.? Biden is still hiding in his basement. Nobody is going to be able to actually see the inauguration. This is going to be a private affair we’ll have to take the government’s word for what happens. You trust them, right?
Why are you paying the cost for irrational government action?
The Associated Press too is reporting the FBI began vetting thousands of service members. Those whose station is and those being sent to the nation’s capital are under scrutiny. U.S. defense officials are expressing security concern. They are on record speaking to the potential of individuals charged with protecting the city may present a threat to Biden or other government officials. This is totally illogical.
Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy told the A.P. commanders have instructions to be on the lookout for problems within their ranks. He adds there is no discovery of any issue yet. McCarthy said:
“We’re continually going through the process, and taking second, third looks at every one of the individuals assigned to this operation,”
These are deep state talking points. This is the Pelosi cover up smear in action. You leak the story. You know it is a salacious lie. But the media picks it up. They you repeat what the media publishes and soon the story takes on a life of its own. Everyone believes it because we’ve all heard it…
It’s coming from the government and the media… How can it not be true. Know anyone in the National Guard? Is that where you go to recruit a presidential assassination team? Yeah, neither would I. But hey, that’s only common sense based on people we know and trust… not the government of the media. America is founded in liberty. It is the home of the brave.
