Of COURSE, Twitter deserves to have anything hurled at them for having taken political sides and then removing any number of citizens and groups that oppose the Socialist message that the Democrats want and to hobble and prevent the Right side from communicating amongst themselves.
Hitler did do that (IF you’ve studied your history) as both pretext and prejudice as to what was going to happen next. Ditto every other totalitarian regime. And yes, given that the Democrats have been working for decades to destroy traditional American societal norms that KEPT THAT BEHAVIOR AT BAY, it can happen here.
I’m on Judicial Watch’s email – not really for blogging material but for background stuff. They are non-partisan in that they believe that the Government HAS to be vigilantly watched and held accountable and they don’t care which party is in charge. A lot of us will be “caring” but just not how the Left would want. There will also be “A time for choosing” – a most serious phrase given these times given the language redefinitions of the Left. Twitter has reportedly purged over 70,000 accounts from its platform for sharing “harmful QAnon-associated content.”
The social media website began cracking down on Twitter activity after rioters supporting President Donald Trump stormed the United States Capitol on Wednesday, committing acts of vandalism and postponing the certification process as members of Congress were forced to evacuate the building.
In a blog post dated Jan. 12, Twitter announced that “many of the individuals impacted by this updated enforcement action held multiple accounts, driving up the total number of accounts impacted.”
“Since Friday, more than 70,000 accounts have been suspended as a result of our efforts, with many instances of a single individual operating numerous accounts,” Twitter said in the blog post. “These accounts were engaged in sharing harmful QAnon-associated content at scale and were primarily dedicated to the propagation of this conspiracy theory across the service.”
Twitter spokesman Trenton Kennedy told The Daily Caller News Foundation that “QAnon is a group that we assess via our coordinated harmful activity framework.”
Look, I don’t know QAnon (or just “Q”) from shinola – I really don’t care. But the Left has perceived this loose aggregation of folks that are talking amongst themselves as a threat to their political kin (Socialists) so out they go. Alinsky-ing them by targeting and then de-humanizing their ideas is now Twitler’s tool of choice.
And, in the process, believing the rest of us to be stupid children that must be “protected” as well.
Really – “…protect the public conversation”? Who appointed you to be, as I read elsewhere, to be the arbiter of “Free Speech”, which speech that is good and which is bad? In what election that was held at some time somewhere that you came out on top as the High Priest of Speech? And in doing so, enforcing coerced thought because if you deny speech, you deny the thoughts behind that speech.
Twitter has not clarified what it considers “harmful QAnon-associated content.”
And no, they won’t. Nor will Facebook. Or Apple. Or Google.
We were trapped in TwitterJail for over a years – you are in violation of our Community Standards. Yet, nowhere was it possible to find out how or why. Same thing with our FB page – we’re in violation but we’re not going to tell you how or why either. Lord High Thought Executioners, those two.
