The Trump tax cuts fueled an economic boom that set records. Unemployment for minorities, women, youth, everyone collapsed. You didn’t just benefit from a tax cut. You got a job, a better job, more money in your pocket, and lasting peace of mind. In 2018 Pelosi, famously, called it crumbs.

“In terms of the bonus that corporate America received, versus the crumbs that they are giving to workers to kind of put the schmooze on, it’s so pathetic,” Pelosi told reporters.

“It’s so pathetic,” she said, adding the bonuses were “insignificant.”

Teleport back to 2020, and the Congressional Christmas Tree Bill Donald Trump just panned, and Pelosi is excited about the next round of COVID19 stimulus. You get 600.00 dollars, maybe. Nancy calls that significant.

“I would like them to have been bigger, but they are significant and they will be going out soon,” she said prior to the $2.3 trillion bill’s passage.

Crumbs of crumbs.

Your crumbs. Sorry, your great-great grandchildren’s crumbs. A payment to yourself, with future tax dollars, shrouded in a multi-trillion-dollar spending package.

Business as usual.
