Dave Testerman – Representative for Franklin and Hill

I am running for re-election as Representative of Franklin’s Ward 1 and 2 as well as the Town of Hill. This will be my third term. Many of you know me from my regular letters to my constituents, but some may not so let me give you my background.

To begin with, I am unabashedly pro-life, pro-family, pro-constitution including the second amendment, pro-business, and anti-tax. As a member of the legislature, I swore to uphold and defend the constitution of New Hampshire and the United States. I also took a similar oath to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution as a U.S. Air Force officer. I take this seriously and it does not expire.

My wife, Karen, and I have four children and 12 grandchildren. I have a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering and a Masters in Business. I retired after 23 years from the Air Force where I flew 300 B-52 combat missions, the FB-111, was design pilot on B-2 for six years, and an engineer. I was the Program Manager on Australian PC-9 (later aka USAF T-6) as an Exchange Officer with the Royal Australian Air Force.

After the Air Force, I transitioned as an engineer overseeing the upgrade of the F-111 for the Australian company Hawker de Havilland before working for Sanders/BAE in New Hampshire as a Systems Engineer and Program Manager. My projects covered a myriad of programs from F-22 to F-35. We moved from Mont Vernon to Franklin fifteen years ago shortly before I retired from BAE.

As an elected official I work to represent and help my constituents, but I believe in enabling people to conquer their challenges, not solving the problems for them. Too often, we treat people as victims of their circumstances.

I believe each person can take action to determine a better result. It starts with a solid education, but most of all it starts with a strong family. I know many people have challenging family situations, but in the end you have a choice to decide or not to become a productive member of the community. We are not victims. We can be conquerors.

The election is on November 3rd. May I have your vote?

Cheers!

Dave Testerman
