Ginsberg Must be Replaced Before the Election ‘cuz Democrats

If there was any illusion left that judges and Justices are expected to be a-political, Ruth Bader Ginsberg just wrecked it. Her passing, while tragic, follows in the wake of words with which we soon will grow weary of hearing. “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.”

While Justice Ginsberg was brilliant and longtime friend of Justice Scalia – which has to mean something – she was always a political tool of the left. A fact that is inescapable given her obsessive desire to last longer than President Trump to protect her chair and their politics for the Left.

She was 87 and has been in failing health for years. We have had repeated warnings of ill health, new cancers, and through it all, Justice Ginsberg clawed her way back to the bench to ensure the left had that vote. To last long enough to see Donald Trump replaced, after which she would promptly retire so that a Democrat could nominate her successor.

In Ginsberg’s mind, the seat belonged to the left, and she meant to keep it for them. God or fate had other ideas. And while her passing has brought her peace, it has opened another pandora’s box upon an election top-heavy with them.

Waiting or No Waiting

Democrats collectively lost their minds Friday night, and riots of words have already begun. Yes, I think Trump will nominate, and yes, I believe the Senate will advise and consent though that vote is not certain – all before the election.

Why do it now?

Sen. Ted Cruz has what may be the best reason this must happen, and ironically, the Democrats are at fault.

“I believe that the president should, next week, nominate a successor to the court. I think it is critical that the Senate takes up and confirms that successor before Election Day,” Senator Cruz told Sean Hannity on Fox News.

“Democrats and Joe Biden have made clear they intend to challenge this election. They intend to fight the legitimacy of the election. As you you know Hillary Clinton has told Joe Biden ‘under no circumstances should you concede, you should challenge this election.’ and we cannot have election day come and go with a 4-4 court.”

Cruz continued, “A 4-4 court that is equally divided cannot decide anything. And I think we risk a constitutional crisis if we do not have a nine-justice Supreme Court, particularly when there is such a risk of … a contested election.”

This is a great point; one Americans could readily accept.

Democrats will still go with NO while putting tremendous pressure on Senators like Susan Collins from Maine (a softy up for reelection) to vote no to whomever Trump chooses. To keep the chair empty until after the November election.

‘cuz Democrats

None of this would have mattered had Ginsberg retired while Obama was president, as many suggested. We’d have another young left-leaning justice on the Court, and Justice Ginsberg could have enjoyed a few years in retirement.

Instead, she has left us with a constitutional crisis and an open seat on The Court, her dying wish, like moany while she was still with us, yet another political proclamation for a person who is supposed to be apolitical.

I’d expect a Trump nominee after the State funeral and pre-requisite trump bashing by Democrat “leaders.” Amy Barrett, if I had to guess, and more riots because that’s how the left expresses itself now.

America should respond in November by peacefully protesting via the ballot box to take away the rioter political cover and kick Democrats out of office with extreme prejudice.
