This letter is in response to some false campaign literature recently distributed in the Executive Council District 5 primary race. The campaign mailer in question insinuates that Dave Wheeler is NOT the Conservative he purports to be – that he is backed by Progressive groups such as Planned Parenthood and Open Borders.
This recent mailer was so egregiously false that I felt compelled to write this letter of rebuttal.
When I served in the NH House of Representatives and as President of NH Right to Life (three-year term), Dave Wheeler was always available and ready to serve liberty and Life causes. In fact, Dave Wheeler always gave Planned Parenthood fits! A vocal and active supporter of Life, from conception to natural death, Dave Wheeler has repeatedly and steadfastly defended the Life movement.
He assisted NH Right to Life on many fronts and his voting record (which is where the rubber meets the road for this Conservative) is unblemished on the Life debate. We are fortunate indeed that he is still willing to serve New Hampshire once more in the Executive Council. Anyone who doubts where Dave Wheeler stands on the issues need only look at his long voting record. Votes do not lie, folks.
This mailer is just sad to behold. After decades of service to New Hampshire, whether in Life, 2nd Amendment causes, or small government/liberty issues, Dave Wheeler has time and again proven his worth to the Conservative movement here in the Granite State. To suggest anything else is just a total fabrication and needs to be called out.
We desperately need principled representation on our NH Executive Council, and voting for Dave Wheeler is a sure vote that Conservatism will reign supreme in his voting on the matters which come before the Executive Council.
Dave needs and deserves your support on Sept. 8. Let’s work together to make that happen!
