It’s hard to believe Vermont continues to be ahead of us on this. Their Republican Gov. (Phil Scott) would typically make Chris Sununu look a lot more ‘Republica.’ But Gov. Scott is already opening indoor dining. Beginning Monday, Restaurants will be able to seat to 25% of capacity.

Vermont Gov. Phil Scott outlined plans to allow indoor dining at restaurants and bars to resume Monday. The establishments will be allowed to reopen at 25 percent capacity, parties must remain at least six feet apart and reservations will be required. …
The state will also begin allowing visitors from New York and the other New England states to visit Vermont without quarantining for two weeks if they come from any of 55 counties in the region that have virus infection rates of less than 400 per million residents.
We’re still eating in tents or parking lots, some real, and plenty of make-shift outdoor seating. And that’s nice if the weather is beautiful, and there is no wind or bugs, and you’ve got some shade.
New Hampshire did open it’s beaches Friday (because we need permission for everything now), though there is some speculation that this was sped up because ReopenNH had a scheduled event for the next day in Hampton. With the place packed, any substantial showing would be hard to nail down.
The Governor saves face, not sure which one, but he also sends a message. What do we “storm next.”
