Interesting article in the Daily Mail about how various states’ consumer spending is going relative to a baseline set by Google in January/February. While some states are 1-2% less than baseline (Mississippi, Oklahoma, Idaho, Arkansas), New Hampshire is much further down (although heading in the right direction):
The good news is that it seems this may not be the “long, long recovery” that some pundits are pushing (and Democrats hoping to beat Trump over the head with once the campaigning really starts to get into gear). This shows a bit broader level of foot traffic across the nation:
However, all is still in the hands of Government controlling and managing private businesses. Should it? Can it do so as well as the owners/managers who are invested in those businesses? Or are you one of those “Health & Safety” types that until the Wu Flu is forever gone that we should forever remain in lockdown?
