Here’s a quick little truth-nugget for you. The US House has announced it will not be going back to work until at least May 4th. Circumstances being what they are, they’d rather wait a bit longer before venturing back to work. In other words, they are non-essential.

I happen to think that the best thing a legislature can do for the people is to not show up for ‘work.’ Given that they seldom endeavor to undo their meddling but are more than willing to pile on scores of new laws and regulations, keeping them away from their business is better for the people.
On the flip side, the people who stood to benefit most from those crumbs Pelosi of the 24,000 dollar fridge mocked when Trump signed the tax cut package, are showing up every day. Truckers, delivery people, and grocery store staff. Hard at work, making sure America can get at least a few things they need.
One of the things the people don’t need, which is to say something non-essential, is busy body House Democrats who are getting paid to stay home and eat designer ice cream and do crosswords with their autographed gold impeachment pens.
