SHTF! – US Porn Industry Takes Two Week Hiatus ‘cuz, Well, You Know Why

No new porn for two weeks. Well, the official industry-approved variety. They’ve called for a two-week shutdown. No worries around here but for people trapped inside, they may find themselves running out of things to do after the video games and streaming services start to get tired.

The New York Post reports that,

“FSC is calling for a voluntary shutdown of all adult entertainment productions in the United States and Canada through Tuesday, March 31,” the group wrote in a press release. …

“We ask that all members of the adult industry stay home as much as possible, leaving the house only for necessities,” FSC wrote Sunday.

“We all must do our part to flatten the growth curve of this global pandemic.”

FSC is, apparently, the “Adult film lobby group Free Speech Coalition.” I’ve never considered porn to be free speech, for the record, but it is an art form (depending on who you ask), and therefore an expression, and well, there it is.

Except for a two-week ban. As if coronavirus transmission is the porn industry’s biggest problem.
