Many people who represent us in government appear to have lost their way. It happens all along the food chain, from the federal level all the way down to our local governments. Even here in Windham. Those who were elected and appointed to serve – are in fact doing just that… but many times it’s difficult to see who it is they are serving. Many times it’s not us – and they need to be held accountable.
But investigative journalism by the mainstream media is dead. They have replaced factual news with opinions, feelings and political talking points that are presented as facts. The integrity of the mainstream media news is questionable, and many times it’s nothing more than propaganda.
That’s why the Granite Grok is so important. The Granite Grok reports the news of the day, every day. Grok writers inject witticism and fresh perspectives into their stories while using the NH and US Constitutions as their Standard of Measures. They hold people accountable, regardless of who they are. The Granite Grok reports facts on important issues, and in doing so… fills the huge void that has been left vacant by the mainstream media.
If you’ve never met the Granite Grok’s Skip Murphy and Steve Mac Donald, then you’re in for a treat. Come and learn about these two prolific individuals, as well as the media powerhouse they have built with the help of many other Grok writers — all of whom have been invited. I’m hoping many of them will come and join in on the discussion. Collectively, they are a group of special, wonderful people who hold our government officials and elected representatives accountable – and have built the Granite Grok into NH’s 2nd highest print media website (only behind the Union Leader).
