Voting in NH – Is Being Registered as a Democrat What Makes You This Stupid?

The most common narrative plied by the left on the matter of ‘voting rights’ in New Hampshire goes like this. It’s too confusing. College students face confusion. College students are unsure. And it is always Democrat students that are confused.

The latest scandal to rise on the topic comes from NBC news and the lead is predictable.

Confusion over a new law could threaten young voter turnout in New Hampshire.”

A new voting law in New Hampshire is causing confusion among college students, threatening to dampen turnout among a key Democratic voting bloc in a state where the margins of victory in 2020 could be razor-thin.

“Could threaten ballot box stuffing by out of state students” would be more accurate.

Prior to its introduction, for the better part of two decades, if you walked into NH on an election day you could claim to live and vote here and then go home to Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine, Missouri, Kentucky, any state and even a few foreign countries like Canada, Britan, or Germany.

This bill requires you to prove you intend to live here for voting purposes. In contrast, just about every other state (possibly every state) has a similar requirement. You have to live there, and this is determined by applying for a state-issued license or ID. That’s what NH’s new law is asking.

I summed it up the solution to the problem on Twitter this morning.

Out of state students, most of whom are paying out of state tuition bills, mailed to the address the college used on their application to determine they are not a resident of New Hampshire, should vote in that state from that address that is not in New Hampshire.

And that’s not confusing either. When your primary, local, or general elections come up, and you are here and not there, request and complete an absentee ballot. You are voting by mail. It is so popular on the left that Democrats want everyone to do it even if you live in New Hampshire. (It happens to be one of the best ways to steal elections if that matters).

Why is this so difficult for people on the political left?

Those folks from flyover country who joined the military and ended up overseas can do it. Those America loving patriots over whom the average liberal professor holds so much disdain. They are more than smart enough to do this despite not having the sort of education that gets you into an Ivy League Social Justice Dumpster Fire like Dartmouth. Where students get easily confused.

If it’s not where you are from or where you went to school before landing in New Hampshire, perhaps it is being a registered Democrat that makes you stupid? Because, to be honest, I don’t hear any Republicans (students or otherwise) claiming this law is confusing.

Not one.
