Sometimes, politics gets both weird and petty but still amusing at the same time. The Democrats are FURIOUS beyond belief that Trump took out General Soliemani who was responsible for many American deaths and injuries during the Iraqi War.
As well as some in Afghanistan. The Youngest lost his best friend in an IED attack that had telltale signs of being Iranian in nature.
I, for one, don’t understand this at all – attack us, reap the consequence. But TDS even in this – Trump takes out a state level Terrorist of the Iranian Quds Force, most Americans are quite happy over that. Just like over Bin Laden.
Yet, we get reactions like this from Democrat Sonia Prince (as an example extraordinaire). And a lot of shrill cries from Dem CongressCritters about that they (or Congress) weren’t notified first.
Big deal and so what.
As to the latter, then stop giving your Power and Responsibilities to the Executive Branch as you’ve been doing for the last 70 years – it’s your own dang fault so quit yer jawin’ over your vapid mutterances.
Anyways (reformatted, emphasis mine):
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, a noted Iran hawk, is circulating a resolution in the Senate that would commend the Trump administration for killing Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani, aides told Fox News on Friday. An aide said the resolution is “structured and worded the same way as a 2011 resolution that commended the Obama administration for killing Bin Laden, which received unanimous support in the Senate.” Cruz is trying to get Democrats on the record supporting the mission.
Heh! We’ve already heard from a number of Congressional Democrats decrying the killing. Now, there are some that are in solidly Democrat districts that can say and vote any way they want but not so much for others.
So how would it look, come a few short months, for these chuckleheads to now have to avow their current stances and vote for Cruz’s resolution? For 40 years, they’ve been at war with us, constantly screaming “Death to the United States”; a bit more oil for these twits dumpster fire vote. Singed if you vote no, burnt if you vote yes, and still toast if you vote present. Decisions (and silly ideological stances) have consequences – how will you choose US Senators from NH, Jeanne Shaheen, and Maggie Hassan?
