Look, I’m not a hawk on war. I do believe, however, that when a clear and present danger is staring us in the face, and there is a history of past danger carried out, our military should be used to erase threat as was done to General Soliemani. Trump did the right thing.
Obama, on the other hand? Instead of treating them like the country they are (have been at war with us for 40 years, chanting death to the United States, killing Americans either directly or by proxy), he gave the Iranian Mullahs $1.7 BILLION in free cash (aka, “tribute”). He created a phony treaty (remember, it ain’t a treaty until the Senate votes on it – which he refused to bring up) and then made like it was one. And kowtowed to them (similar to the infamous bowing to the Saudi King). And never did anything when those sailors on those two riverine boats were captured by Iranian go-fast boats).
Soliemani thought he was untouchable because of both the actions and inactions of Obama who set a precedent.. He also believed, I guess, that since Obama forked up all that cash and he was given a lot of it for his truly State sponsored terrorist activities for all over the Mideast region, nothing would ever happen to him.
And then came Trump. Soliemani crossed Trump’s red line. Unlike Obama’s infamous red lines, all drawn in quicksand, Trump’s was seemingly built of concrete and steel in this case.
