Newsweek Reporter Who Lied About President Trump’s Thanksgiving Day Plans Fired (And Other Good News)

Newsweek political reporter Jessica Kwong wrote a story last week. In it, she reported that Mr. Trump’s Thanksgiving plans were to tweet and play golf. It didn’t happen.

As we reported, that was not even close to accurate. Your President made a trip to Bagram in Afghanistan to spend time with American troops stationed there. He served them Thanksgiving dinner and ate with them. Kwong’s story was an entirely fabricated, leftwing, TDS fantasy.

Kwong has been fired.

Newsweek investigated the failures that led to the publication of the inaccurate report that President Trump spent Thanksgiving tweeting and golfing rather than visiting troops in Afghanistan,” a Newsweek representative told the Washington Examiner. “The story has been corrected, and the journalist responsible has been terminated. We will continue to review our processes and, if required, take further action.”

Not to worry. I am sure Jessica is already getting offers from CNN and MSNBC.

In other news, teased by the headline, the Starbucks barista who was suspended for writing PIG on a police officer’s cup has also been fired.

In addition, Starbucks noted that its employee who wrote the slur “used poor judgement and is no longer a partner after this violation of company policy.”

“This language is offensive to all law enforcement and is not representative of the deep appreciation we have for police officers who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe,” the Starbucks representative concluded.
