DISQUS Doodlings – as long as I brought up St. Greta Part 1

I just I’d follow up on my previous post on St. Greta Thunberg as over at Tree Hugger (where else, natch?), the eco-socialists / Watermelon Environmentalists HAVE annointed her as a saint. This post turned out to be a longer one than most – ok, I kinda “pushed” things along to make it happen but it is clear that the topic is bringing out that which they never used to want seen.  Certainly this is true about the Democrats (now Socialists) here in the US are now open about making it clear how they stand – civilian disarmament, not trust you at all, they wish to Rule instead of represent, coerce your speech – you know, the typical slippery slide to Totalitarianism. They hate that we on the Right put it that way – they either haven’t the stones to be completely open about it or still are trying to be in stealth mode.  No matter.

‘Walking the walk’ matters when it comes to climate activism was the post title and Katerine Martinko, once again, might have been a geyser for the amount of gushing she was doing over St. Greta. I agree – there ARE those over at TH that are walking the talk and living the lifestyle they talk about.  I even congratulate them on it – they’ve made the voluntary choices to do that. However, there are many there that, once making that choice, want EVERYONE to life that hairshirt lifestyle – and have no problem in getting Government to force you into it be it from local Government up to the United Nations level (yes, there are those that already think that we all should be subject to those unelected keptomaniacs and despots).

Sidenote: Jane’s Op-Ed decrying what NH Governor Chris Sununu wants to do with housing. We used to write a lot about regionalism and “workforce” housing everywhere.  More on that later but it would be, in part, the death of “Live Free or Die” (and the Progressives want some to really live free at the expense of the “rich” which translates to “the rich and the middle class paying the freight – you AWFUL Oppressors YOU!).

Walk the Talk – not like Al Gore, or Barack Hussein Obama. Not like the 10s of thousands that fly into these “Sustainability / Climate Chaos” multiday events, especially in their private planes, instead of teleconferencing in to keep their carbon footprints low even as they want the rest of us huddled around a stone ring fire. Well, it is cleat that St. Greta is talking a lot, she ain’t walking the whole bit especially as she “claims” a low carbon foot print for Public Relations purposes but outsources her actual carbon footprint to others – like flying her outsourced crews around for her outsourced carbon travel on outsourced sailing yachts as in the image above (Image H/T: Powerline). But I digress…

First, the first course:

If everyone would follow her example, not eat meat, and try to not use any dirty fossil fuels, the world would be a better place. Unfortunately most people are too stupid and cannot see how our world is being destroyed.

I’d go with selfish instead of stupid

Yep, like all prototypical socialists looking down at “the masses”, they have this Moral Superiority thing going that ANYONE that doesn’t agree with them MUST be stupid.  And of course, because the Left is always those that “care more” (even if studies show the opposite is true), we’re just selfish.  Selfish to the bone – they care SO much that they outsource that “care” to Government to take care of instead of doing it, individually, themselves.

And they are stubborn in their “feelings” (what the rest of us call “a very wee bit of knowledge”):

Nathan Lewis
How about not chopping down trees for Christmas? You don’t even have to be an environmentalist to know that there is no way that is sustainable especially when potted trees are available, just a decent journalist.

GraniteGrok  to Nathan Lewis
You’re absolutely wrong, Nathan. Ever hear of Christmas Tree farms? Sustainable and curated, they’re a big deal here in NH. And they have been in business for generations as family businesses. If they weren’t environmentally conscious, they’d have been out of business decades ago.

In fact, one of the better ones in our area is just down the street from me…

Potted trees.  Yeah, sure thing, bub. With that single statement, you know he has no clue as to what he just said.  Sure, EVERYONE has a potted “tree” weighing hundreds of not thousands of pounds in a specially designed and built “pot” that’s just ready to be Bobcat’d in and out of your house every Christmas season. What, you don’t have a door wide enough or a floor strong enough?  You selfish stupid person – you’re the source of Climate Warming all by yourself!!!

Yeah, didn’t think that through all that well, did he? It just goes to show you that “sustainability” is like “hate speech” – you can mean it to mean anything at all, especially if you mean to not know much at all. But I’m the meanie in all this.

There’s more, MUCH more there where the mask keeps slipping down on their totalitarian leanings and that you are a meaning if you are in the Collective.

Note: They just don’t get it – farmers ARE the real environmentalists especially for family farmers. From another post, they needed to be spanked over – same topic, same speech, different “not thinking it through before speaking” (a couple of comments eliminated for now:

How about NO christmas trees? It’s a stupid practice.

GraniteGrok  to P Diddy
What would you suggest as an alternative?

P Diddy  to GraniteGrok
Spending time with your friends and family.

GraniteGrok  P Diddy
That’s what I do as we pick out a tree, pack it up, bring it home, and then decorate it.

They are just SO convinced that what they know is so, they can’t reason things out by themselves. The Ideology, it blinds them…
