The Immigration Con Game

Illegal Immigration is a crime

The immigration con game is undermining public safety, public health, national security and the jobs and wages of American workers. Leftists use deceptive language in describing the true nature of our immigration laws. This has been going on since President Carter.

It was at that point when INS employees were given instruction for the replacement of the legally accurate term.  “Illegal Alien” became the PC term, “Undocumented Immigrant.”

Three types of Immigration Fraud

The Orwellian use of language has continued ever since. The road to tyranny is paved with language censorship. Generally, we think of immigration fraud taking two forms: 1.) Aliens who engage in fraud schemes or 2.) The manufacture of counterfeit or altered identity documents. There is, however, a third form of immigration fraud. That is conning Americans into believing pernicious lies about our nation’s borders and immigration laws.

The third immigration fraud is highly coordinated. It is perpetrated by the mainstream media and leftists in both political parties. Millions of Americans have been convinced to accept politicians’, corrupt immigration policies and practices. In doing so the immigration con game undermines public safety, public health, national security, the jobs and wages of American workers.

Americans have been duped. Leftists continuously hammer home the point: Only bigots, racists, and xenophobes would want to secure our nation’s borders and enforce our immigration laws. The leaders of the Democratic Party now openly demand an end to immigration law enforcement. They vilify immigration law enforcement personnel personally. Democrat leadership has established Sanctuary Cities and even Sanctuary States.

Practical impacts

These jurisdictions refuse to cooperate with ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agents. They refuse to honor ICE detainers. Detainers call for local law enforcement to not release aliens who have serious criminal histories. Those people should be taken into federal custody for deportation. Their removal from the United States to protect American communities should be swift.

On October 25, 2019, ICE sent a news release the first paragraph of which said in part:

“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released additional information Thursday on more unlawfully present foreign nationals facing serious criminal offenses in Mecklenburg County, who under the county’s ICE non-cooperation policy would currently be released back into the local community where they would be free to reoffend.”

Among the serious crimes of these aliens are sex crimes against children, drug trafficking and firearms possession. Incredibly, local authorities will not let ICE know when these criminals may be released. This is not an isolated problem. On October 30, 2019, ICE captures Salvadoran illegal alien released by Buncombe County despite a conviction for a child sex offense.

Actions based on feeling not reason

Feelings rule liberals. There is a difference between allowing control by feelings and having feelings yet using commonsense. All humans make decisions after consideration of or are with influence from emotion. Being “cold-blooded” or “heartless” are not accolades. We raise our children to be considerate and compassionate. But we also raise them to research the information surrounding a decision before making it. Empathy is a virtue. But at some point self-preservation needs to kick in.

We have a problem. It is the massive campaign of misinformation and disinformation. Operation of the campaign is coming from the media. They are operating in concert with various special interest groups. Together they have conned many Americans into believing something that is false. What is false is: Our immigration laws are unfair and based on racism and xenophobia.

Our immigration laws don’t only tell us who to keep out and who to kick out. They also guide decision making on whom to admit. Our immigration system is the most generous in the world. Currently each and every year America admits more than one million lawful immigrants. We naturalize many new citizens. These huge numbers are greater than the numbers for all of the other countries on the planet combined. It is time to put this discussion in its proper context.

Being human includes self-protection

Feelings and emotions are powerful. They make us human. Our challenge, in this era, is to harness these powerful emotions. The radical left has many victims of their con. Those victims must come to understand there is an equal need to apply their emotions to their fellow Americans. Why is it okay to not show empathy and compassion to Americans?

Would a rational person give money to charity if their own children are going to bed hungry? Homelessness is on the rise because of many factors. Those factors include job loss and wage suppression. By flooding America with foreign workers makes those things worse. Those new immigrants are willing to work for substandard wages, under substandard conditions, and they frequently displace working Americans.

Flooding America with more people increases the demand for housing. More demand for housing drives up housing costs. This can contribute to putting it out of the reach of working poor Americans. This increases the level of homelessness.

Which side are you on

There are instances of transnational gang members Americans being accosting, beating, raping and killing Americans. It is happening in our schools and on our streets. The perpetrators are not just from Latin America. Record quantities of dangerous drugs including heroin, meth and fentanyl are pouring into the United States. They are coming across our all too porous borders.

Those who currently oppose immigration law enforcement and secure borders are our adversaries. They are not friends. They are not our allies. We must use the facts to win them over. It is necessary to help them to understand our borders and immigration laws are eminently fair. Not only are they judicious, they are fair and generous. Most importantly they are our first and last lines of national and personal defense. The immigration con game is undermining public safety, public health, national security and the jobs and wages of American workers.
