If you didn’t think Joe Biden had lost his mind, consider the matter resolved. Two of the four women he says are on his shortlist for Vice President are both sitting US Senators from New Hampshire. Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan.
The other two are former AG Sally Yates – who should be on the collusion-gate scandal indictment list, and everyone I know is a racist Stacy Abrams.
Biden doesn’t name them, but he describes them, and it is impossible not to know who he means. And while the head of the Biden crime family is a gaffe machine, unless he comes up with more names in future “asks,” it’s not entirely dumb to drop Shaheen and Hassan’s names for consideration.
It’s About the Primary
Neither is qualified, but Biden wants a win in New Hampshire, and this is a cheap way to get it.
Hassan’s first term as a Senator has been a running joke of scandals, including the single most significant data breach in Senate history from her office.
Shaheen hasn’t been in Federal service too long unless you count her years as a NH State Senators and Governor trying to turn New Hampshire into a federal dependent state. Then it begins to come close to half of Biden’s time in the machine.
Shaheen did help ruin health care in New Hampshire. She can also take credit for ruining energy policy and electric rates, though there is ample blame there to go around. I guess that makes her an ideal candidate for VP.
Or not. Republican Kelly Ayotte ending up being a lousy Senator from New Hampshire, and I recall her name surfacing for VP in the 2016 primary. Another bad idea.
But when you have the first in the nation primary, I guess you get the distinction of having your name-dropped, at least until the primary, and then they move on, along with everyone else.
But whether this is serious or not, your pool reporters need to find Hassan and Shaheen and ask them something. It’s been a point of obsession on the left during the primary season. Is your state too white? Are we all to racist to deserve an early primary?
I’d love to hear you explain your position to the residents of the Granite State. Seeing as you could be the VP nominee and all.
