Eco-protesters or Eco-Fools? I’m not sure which I prefer more (like I have to ask) but these adult Greta wannabees have just found out that when time is of the essence, sailing is not the best use of time (except as a stunt for Thunberg and now as mockery for them).

Thirty-six environmentalists were four weeks into their “grueling voyage” by sailboat to Chile for a United Nations climate change summit, COP25, when they leaned the event had been canceled. The activists, known as the Sail to the COP group, took a cue from young climate change figurehead Greta Thunberg and opted for a sailboat ride over a plane ride. According to CNN, Thunberg expressed her approval of Sail to the COP via Twitter at the end of October.
The activists, who left from Amsterdam, were halfway to Chile when they found out the devastating news. “After a long assessment process, the Chilean Government has made the painful decision of not to host the Climate Summit COP25,” the COP25 Twitter account posted Wednesday.
Their purpose, so they say?
“After the initial shock and sadness the news brought, everyone came together determined to continue what we started: putting the climate impact of aviation on the international agenda.”
OK, do I really have to go over why sailing to important stuff, unless one is really close by, is an act of Real Stupid? This cancellation is a perfect demonstration of wasted time and wasted money. No matter WHAT they try to do in putting on “happy faces”, they screwed up. And they DIDN’T prove that sailing is better than flying – what is their CO2 footprint, including “embedded CO2” (which is becoming a thing – think Total Cost of Ownership/CO2 usage) of the boat for nothing at all?
All we have here, if the picture in the Daily Wire piece, is a bunch of white rich young adults that have nothing better than to have a vacation on the ocean. That’s pretty much it. They’ve brought no attention to their fears, nothing to their activism – only that they are now in the same class Eco-ists that want to study ice in the Arctic or Antarctica and then proceed to get their ships locked up in said ice. Or those that wish to prove Global Warming by crossing either of those two by foot only to be stopped by “bad weather”.
Dumbkoffs. But again, look who’s leading them:
“Yet, you all come to us young people for hope, how dare you”
Yeah, no honey – most rational adults aren’t looking to you for “hope” – but there are some using you as a political pawn at which you are doing exceedingly well. Maybe some beta males and females are taken in by your screaming and anger but the rest of us are thinking “who raised this brat and didn’t teach her some manners? Off with you now – kindergarten is over there.”
