Yes, Chelsea Clinton is rumored for a congressional seat she can’t lose (if there’s no primary). But does anyone want another Clinton in government?
Of course, they do. If you or your party are obsessed with political power paving paths to it is job one. Those favors don’t buy themselves. You need someone with a direct line to hell, and if anyone has that, it’d be Chelsea Clinton.
Page Six first reported in 2016 that the former first daughter was being groomed for the 17th district seat. The district includes Rockland County and portions of Westchester, including the Chappaqua home of Bill and Hillary Clinton.
“Chelsea would be the next extension of the Clinton brand,” a source said at the time.

The only real question is whose Senate seat will she be filling after two or four years as a bench warmer in congress?
Not so fast
As it turns out, the speculation may be just that. Democrats in the local and state committees are working on getting her into (an easily winnable) congressional race. They probably want access to her family and its political fortunes. But this soon to be open seat will have competitors.
“There is no doubt Chelsea Clinton has the genes to be a formidable candidate in a New York race, but it just doesn’t appear she’ll be stumping with her own version of a pantsuit anytime soon. She’ll likely sit this one out,” said another New York political source.
Intimidating other Democrats is not beneath the Clinton’s (rumor has it that killing them isn’t either) but is it worth the effort?
Congress is a pretty, lowly place to start. No Clinton ever began in the Lower Chamber. Hillary Started in the White House as FLOTUS and leveraged her experience with corruption into a Senate Seat where she talked long enough to justify a run for the Senate.
Hillary’s stint as Secretary of State was a make-work job at which she sucked. Not just professionally but physically. She used it to suck billions out of the world by leveraging access. That was supposed to buy her the oval office, but she lost and can’t get over it. Neither can the swamp or the people who paid her for access.
It’s no surprise they are all out to get Donald Trump.
As for dynasties having another Clinton in Government would extend the graft to the next generation. A task of which I’m sure Chelsea is capable. But I don’t think she’s capable of much else. I’m not even sure she could win an unlosable election for a congressional seat in a blue district. Not in a fair fight.
But these are Clintons. Nothing about it would be fair.
