Manchester voters in their municipal mayoral primary have chosen Victoria Sullivan and incumbent Joyce Craig to advance to November’s general election ballot.

In her first citywide election, former State Rep. Sullivan earned 39% of the vote to Craig’s 57%. Candidate Glenn Ouellette was eliminated in the primary, with 4% of the vote.
Speaking to supporters after the primary, Sullivan said “This is when it gets serious…The general election just started. When we find solutions in our city, it’s going to make the whole state stronger.”
Sullivan acknowledged Craig’s edge in fundraising. “We know that every [Democratic] presidential candidate in the country is coming to invest in her. They understand how important winning this seat is. We need to invest the same that they do.”
The Manchester general election is November 5. Voters that day will also be choosing aldermen and school committee members.
