Granite Grok is ‘Getting a Little Work Done’

You may have heard the term “they’ve had a little work done.” It’s when some celebrity or public person has had a bit of plastic surgery. Tighten up this, adjust that. Well, at GraniteGrok, we’re having a little work done of our own.

It’s mostly cosmetic.

You may notice some slight changes to the home page and the header. First, we launched the MicroGroks a few weeks ago. They are still being beta-tested and tweaked. But you can now see them and reach them from the header on our Main Page.

You will see ‘MicroGroks‘ at the top of every page, followed by some names on which you can click.

Grok Header microgrok

These are fledgling “micro” GraniteGroks for local news, opinion, and commentary related to those towns or areas. We are still building them out. Much of the content currently springs from GraniteGrok. But that will be changing as we add local writers keyed in on local politics.

Yes, we plan to add more of them.

We’ve also doubled the number of posts ‘Above the Fold’ on GraniteGrok’s home page. There are twenty instead of ten.

The ten posts “below the fold” are from 2016 (by the way) and are all pulling in the same image – minor glitch, and the previous posts links will also get updated today.

We are also adding ‘previous post’ links to the MicroGroks so you can then scroll back into their archival history, which is minimal at this point.

For the record, we are looking for like-minded, conservatarian content providers in Manchester, Windham, and the Monadnock region. Folks who can and will provide content specific to those areas of the state – or stories and news at the state and national level that relate to or affect them.

The pay is terrible (nothing), but the hours are your own. And the benefits? Bi-partisan abuse, name-calling, and the occasional “do you know who I am.” But we’re covering stories and news from angles the media has long since abandoned. Exposing the goings-on that voters need to know about that no one else is reporting, all from a limited-government, pro-liberty, individual rights perspective.

Like GraniteGrok.com but at a town/city level. Democrats will hate it. What more reason do you need to participate?

We’ll also be posting LTE’s or Op-Eds in the Micro-Groks if you’re not ready to invest in the idea of something more involved.

The tweaks should be done today.

We appreciate your patience while we ‘get a little work done.’

And if you think you might be one of those folks in one of those towns, or you’d like to submit a letter to the editor, please reach out to me at steve@granitegrok.com.
