They are so out of touch with the average American that the head of the DNC will be fundraising in Mexico City next month…
What do the invitations say?
Perez will participate in three events in the Mexican capital. He will be there on Sept. 28, according to invitations obtained by Bloomberg News. The events range from happy hour drinks with a $25 minimum student entry. To a dinner where tickets range from $1,000 to $15,000.
The registration form on the DNC website requires attendees be U.S. citizens… or permanent residents and enter passport or green card numbers. It is illegal for foreigners to contribute to American political campaigns. Evidence of Russian collusion, false narrative though it may be has been a persistent drag on Trump’s presidency.
Does this mean fundraising trouble in the US?
Well, if you’re a Democrat and you’ve exhausted the donor base in the U.S. what’s next? Hey, what’s the harm holding a potluck across the border? No appearance of soliciting foreign money here. It’s about the same in New Hampshire. If you do not raise enough money in New Hampshire that’s okay. Just go to Massachusetts or Rhode Island. Hey it’s all about the Benjamins, right?
Spend, spend, spend, it’s all Democrats know how to do. Guess we are going to see about ethics and representation. Is it New Hampshire that really gets represented when the money for New Hampshire campaigns comes from out of state? Maybe we need to go to the voting record to see. Bloomberg reports that the Democratic National Committee’s financial woes continue. Chairman Tom Perez and his colleagues continue to spend more than they take in. In fact, the DNC has already added $3 million in new debt in just the past four months. The Republican National Committee, however, is raking in boatloads of cash ahead of the 2020 election. This will surely give President Donald J. Trump a leg up on whomever he ends up running against.
In 2019 already, the DNC had collected contributions of more than $24.4 million. But it had spent $28.4 million, according to the latest disclosures. It had $7.6 million cash on hand, $1 million less than in January.
