AFP-NH Hosting Unrig the Economy Event in Hampton

MANCHESTER, NH – Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire (AFP-NH) on Wednesday is hosting a Policy and Pints event at Smuttynose Restaurant in Hampton at 6:30PM. The open, public event is a part of AFP’s “Unrig the Economy” campaign, a multiyear, multimillion-dollar effort dedicated to creating a stronger economy by leveling the playing field for all.

The policy discussion will focus on why Congress should not bring back tax extenders or reauthorize the Export-Import Bank – two blatant examples of corporate welfare.

WHAT:    Policy and Pints: Unrigging the Economy
WHERE: Smuttynose Restaurant
105 Towle Farm Rd Hampton, NH 03842

WHEN:    August 28, 2019,  6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
RSVP:  Email Greg Moore at GMoore@afphq.org

Greg Moore, AFP-NH State Director:

“Corporate welfare and government sweetheart deals to politically favored companies are putting our country on a path of less growth and opportunity. We are continuing our efforts to educate and inform people about the need to eliminate corporate welfare, starting with some egregious forms of cronyism in the Export-Import Bank and tax extenders. AFP will continue to reach out across the state and work with anyone to unrig our economy and help level the playing field for all Granite Staters.”

According to a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll, 62% of Americans said they thought the U.S. economic system mainly benefits those in power versus only 34% who said it mainly benefits all people. Belief that the economy is rigged is a longtime, widespread perception.
