Let Them Be Born That Way

Pro-Life protest at Fisher Cats Game in Manchester 2019

by Beth Scaer  |

As promised in my recent GraniteGrok op-ed we held a successful pro-life rally outside “Pride Night” for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on July 5 in Manchester.

Their partner for that event was Equality Health Center, which performs abortions through 15.6 weeks, and the Fisher Cats promoted the abortion facility in their social media. We let the attendees know that the game was raising money for abortion.

We had two state representatives from Derry in attendance at the rally, Rep. Katherine O’Brien and Rep. David Love.

Rep. O’Brien had a special message for those celebrating Pride, letting them know that LGBT babies are being aborted.

The Diocese of Manchester also partners with the Fisher Cats to bring their parishioners to the game for fellowship and as a fundraiser. If the Diocese partners with the Fisher Cats again, I recommend they request that the event be branded as “Pro-Life Night” and that the Fisher Cats advertise it as such in social media as they do every year for “Pride Night.” That would allow Art Solomon, CEO of the DSF Group, which owns the Fisher Cats, to prove his claim in his email to me that “as an organization, we don’t take positions on moral, political or other issues.”
